Quite simply the worst airline we have ever had the misfortune to use and we only did because of Trailfinders, which says a lot for them as well. Unless you live in London and are retired and it doesn’t matter when you get to your destination or home, this airline isn’t for you. They simply do not have enough aircraft to cover their routes and they will just cancel your flight at a moments notice. You will not get an apology, nor will you be offered an alternative carrier and you will not get a refund. Air Mauritius cancelled our onward flight from Mauritius to Australia on three occasions, we then also got caught in a cyclone, something we shouldn’t have been involved with. We lost our three days in Perth and out connecting flight to New Zealand. We then had to make alternative arrangements with Emirates to fly us back to Dubai and then on to Auckland because they could not tell us when they would be resuming flights to Perth. They’ve cost us thousands of pounds and ruined our holiday of a lifetime. Their reputation within the travel industry is very, very, poor and yet Trailfinders still recommended them, so do not get talked into using them by any Agent. We got no apology and we were told we were not entitled to a refund because we had chosen another carrier, what were we supposed to do with no alternative option proposed by them, We lost our money with the connecting flight to New Zealand too. They are quite simply a joke of an airline, do not fly with them outside of the parameters suggested. They will disappoint you, unfortunately we also had to fly with them back to Gatwick, everything looked to be on time but we just knew they would do something and they duly did, they delayed us 8 hours, which meant us leaving our hotel at 02.55am for the Airport. A bunch of jokers, ran by the Mauritian government. Lovely Island, beautiful people, abysmal airline.…
