Ran up the mountain to see the castle! Fantastic view at the top was well worth the effort. Take the easy dirt path all the way up for a nice walk ride or run! Take a water bottle also!

Not an easy hike but what a result!

The walk up to this castle, whilst beautiful, is not a quick or an easy one. That said, this castle and nearby hermitage are beautifully preserved. The castle is wonderfully preserved and it is still possible to climb up the tower and take in the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

worth the hike

It was fantastic. The climb was not too challenging but long so prepare for that. We took the white trail down because it was easier but it took longer. The views were incredible and you could certainly appreciate the handwork that went into building it and history of the church and lookout point.
