Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This area was an important center conquered by the romans in the second century before Christ.
Apua gave the name to the Alpes Apuane.
With the stone bridge, the churches and the ancients palaces it is a very nice city to visit or have a rest in one of several and good restaurants.

Pontremoli, and Lunigiana as a whole, is largely unknown in the Uk and this is amazing and UK travellers should try to visit as it's a largely untravelled gem of peace and beauty

Charming town and a river runs through it! Wonderful place for a stop, lunch, and a stroll. Right off the Autostrada. The locals are very friendly, even the Police! Put this one on the list,

Walking and appreciating a quieter life is what sleepy Pontremoli gives a good flavour of the area. With Italian honey and mushrooms and lovely pancakes served with pesto or cheeses. Nice elegance in the houses and the 16th century church.

Not much to do, but nice to wander through the old center. There are Some fine restaurants: Oca Bianca, la Luna, San Georgio. And there is calm And lovely piazza.

If you are travelling between Parma and La Spezia i recommend you a stop at this tiny village, the historical center is a gem of medieval art, charming and attractive with its churches and the magnificent castle.

Very nice Old town with interesting history. People are friendly, not many tourists, shops are small and cosy, restaurants cheap.

Muchas gracias.
