About

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The leaflet we had seen promised more than reality delivered: there were only three, not five, wines on tasting; the inside was cramped and the staff not particularly welcoming. Better to visit one of the local wineries and do a tasting there - better value and a better experience.

A must visit in Barbaresco. Taste some, buy some, enjoy the atmosphere of a former chapel. The staff do not necessarily be able to answer all question perfectly in English, but are friendly anyway, although not with fake smiles like Americans would be.

a dignified wine selection in an unusual ambience - a former church: one sees many, many wines of the classic Barberesco lined up for tasting and buying. You either sit centrally at the table, or in a niche, or you simply stop at the bar. Three euros is a fair price for the tasting wines. The 3 Euros were also credited when buying a corresponding bottle. It is especially nice that it is so pleasantly cool in the former church.
Very good, makes more sense than going to a restaurant for a tasting.

There are 5 Barbaresco wines to be tasted (3€/glass). Rotation of wine selection over the year. No explanation or whatsoever on the wine that are open. Staff not very friendly. They could make this much more interesting.

Maybe the most special wine store you will ever visit. Located in a former church which is special, you may also find great bargains on local wines.

This is a beautiful place, inside an old church, now converted into a wine tasting room. It couldn't be better!

This is a curious combination of architecture, history, commerce and tourism. Located on Piazza Municipio, in the heart of Barbaresco, in an old, decommissioned Catholic church, this is a Visitors' Center, where you find valuable and helpful information about the region, the wine production and producers, as well as the history of the area. There is an informative exhibit, with photos, reproductions and brochures, and two helpful attendants that can answer all your questions. On both sides of the aisle, there are shelves full of representative wines of most of the principal wine producers of Barbaresco. Outside the main entrance, there are a couple of benches, where you can enjoy the shade and watch the world go by.

All the wines if the region are here ... the lady in charge will recommend tastings each day
One of the top superb Italian wines so one could spend a fortune but there are others more affordable. They will ship for you too.

Every year I visit the Enoteca to stock up on traditional, small producer Barbareschi. The staff are very helpful and I always find some wonderful things.

Hello Freddy. Answering your question: the enoteca is located on a small church in the middle of Barbaresco village. There is no tour: you go there to try different wines. You don't have to pay to get in only for the wine. My husband and I were staying in Alba and did drive a lot in the region.

Well, you probaly can get a bus to the nearest big city. You will Have to check at Turim station. I think it will be very hard not having a car but maybe you will find a way with some other tourists. Good luck!
