About
Soma is a coalition of creative spirits. We merge elements of agriculture, architecture, and community. Our focus is on quality craft ciders and authentic hospitality. The Okanagan Valley has a deep rural tradition. You can hear it through local stories and read it in the many orchards, farms, and wineries visible across the landscape. Soma Craft Cidery is part of this landscape, but we also offer a sensory experience unique to the region. We invite you to join us at Soma to celebrate local culture with friends, family, and great cider, food, and accommodation.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful grounds, extremely friendly and helpful tasting. The added joy of feeding the llamas was awesome. We loved the vibe and the connections to other producers like the honey farm and lavender farm.

My husband and I brought our 15 month old in yesterday with us for a tasting about 30 minutes before closing. The girl who served us was really nice and friendly, and was knowledgeable about the cider. We had a cool little tasting that was very informative and we were very impressed by their cider. All 4 of the ciders we tasted were not like anything we have ever had before. Their first, Traditional Cider is a very good mix between sweet and dry and was described as "Adult Apple Juice" which was just the perfect explanation for it. The second one was an Oak Aged Cider and it tasted a bit smokey with a sophisticated type of flavor to it. The 3rd was a Citra-hopped Apple Cider and it tasted like a mix between a cider and a hazy pale ale. Very unique in flavor, finishing off with a bit of a bitter taste. The 4th and last cider was Honey Lavender Cider and you could taste the honey straight off, then all you taste is Lavender, which is powerful, but nice in small doses! We were very impressed to learn that the Honey is sourced from Arlo's Honey, down the road and the Lavender is from a Lavender Farm nearby as well. Very very local: we love it!
We bought a 4 pack of the Oak Aged Cider before heading out and so the $8 tasting fee was waived. All of the girls working here were so nice and they all waved and smiled at our son. The property is absolutely beautiful here, and they even have Llamas that you can see as you are coming or going, and you can buy food to feed them too.

When you enter Soma, you know you’re in for a treat : the decoration, the ambiance, the location, everything is just so perfect. Then comes the cider... let me tell you, the cherry cider has to be one of the best I’ve ever had!

The only downside was the absence of food pairings. Cider goes delightfully well with cheese, and yet there were no food pairing options (mayhaps because of COVID 😢). A small flight of cheeses to go with the cider would’ve been the perfect experience for me!

We went to SOMA with our two young children while visiting the Kelowna area. The grounds and build of the tasting room are very well done offering a pretty cool setting to taste some cider. The cider tasting selection was unique and we were served promptly from a very friendly staff member. It's a little bit of a drive from downtown Kelowna but it's situated in a beautiful area and the cider is top notch quality.

I only have two complaints: the cherry cider couldn't be purchased in cans (growler only) and one of our tasting fees was not waived even though we purchased 3, 4-packs of apple cider (we were told by our server that the tasting fees were waived with purchase so I think she just forgot to remove one of them).

Giving them a 5-star despite them being closed for repairs. When they reopen, give them your business. Nice people, friendly alpacas and great cider by reputation.

If you love cider, you simply MUST visit this small, craft cidery! The ciders are unlike anything else on the market. One has a slight vanilla taste, while another is like biting into a fresh, tart apple. Gorgeous location and llamas are a treat for kids. If you don’t make it up there find it in the bc liquor stores.

This wasn’t meant to be part of our tasting tour, just a restaurant stop, but the restaurant gave us all a free 3 ciders sampler! We really enjoyed the honey cider and I really liked their oak cider but seems it was more of harder sell to the rest of the group.

The food though! Wow was the food good and throw in some ciders and everyone had a great lunch. I have to eat here again someday.

They have a good patio space and baby alpacas running around freely (not fenced off). This place was such a good stop.

Would absolutely recommend

I’m a cider fan and while doing a self guided tasting tour in the Kelowna area we checked out Soma.

Great facility, nice knowledgeable staff, great products with locally produced ingredients!

Worth doing!

Fantastic location and property! Beautiful places to have picnic lunches from their bistro - which smelled amazing - was sad we had just had lunch! Cider was delicious especially the Honey Apple.

The only negative was their pricing 4 pack was $12 and a single bottle was $10. Considerably higher than other Cidery places in the area.

Newly opened Cidery and soon to be opened restaurant at a beautiful location! We were the first customers. Three kinds of apple cider can be sampled and bought. Lovely building and surroundings. Will likely become a frequented stop by cyclists and probably bus tours...
