Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice shopping centre, not big limited amount of shops nothing special, on a positive note good customer service from retail workers, nothing much to say.

We will never visit this place again... We bought a 24hr parking ticket for £5.00 as we wanted to explore the centre plus, local area, shops, beach, etc. We parked on the 1st floor as there weren't any spaces on the ground level. On driving up the ramp, we noticed a purple sign (on a pillar in front of us) stating it was open until 7pm. However, on returning to the Car Park at 6pm, we were shocked to find our car had been locked in... A padlocked gate had been pulled across the ramp and we couldn't even get to our car to get anything inside it that we might've needed. A friendly local man showed us that there was a sign on one of the pillars stating that the 1st floor would be locked (on Sundays) from 4:30... It wasn't easily visible. We had been too busy trying to find somewhere to park to notice the sign(not much bigger than A4 size), which is placed on a pillar (on the left) as you go up the ramp so, not very visible to someone driving on the right side of the car. Also, once on the 1st floor... We walked straight into the shopping centre so, still wouldn't have notice the sign back down the ramp. The sign stated that there's a £35.00 fee to have your car released and even though we tried ringing the mobile phone number (several times) there was no response and we couldn't even leave a message, as the mail box was full. So, we were left stranded, unable to get home and on foot. Not being familiar with the area, we asked for directions to the nearest Premier Inn (we had to walk as there weren't any taxis available) who managed to find us a room in the Premier Inn at East Cliff. We had to pay £53.00 for a room, otherwise, we would've been left on the street for the night... The chances of finding accommodation at that time of night, in an area we weren't familiar with was slim. Back to the signs... The sign at the entrance to the Car Park stating parking rates is huge and can't be missed. However, the signs stating the opening times weren't visibly clear... There were at least two other cars trapped behind the padlocked gate so, we weren't the only victims in this parking debacle. Thankfully, when we arrived back at the Car Park (via taxi) the next morning, our car hadn't been vandalised (phew!) and the gate was open so, we finally managed to get home. My husband works for himself and made a call to his client he was supposed to meet first thing on Monday morning... Thankfully, they were okay to move the appointment to the afternoon. What a fiasco! At least, we paid for 24hr parking and avoided getting a fine for an overstay! Also, we were fortunate to be able to afford an overnight stay... Someone else might not be so fortunate. I haven't contacted the centre yet... But, they will be receiving a complaint, sometime soon. In the meantime, I hope this review helps other travellers avoid this happening to them... Happy travelling :0)

Had to use the female toilets at the bus station in an emergency. They were absolutely disgusting, stunk of urine, dirty floors and walls. I appreciate its difficult to keep these types of facilities totally clean but the floor and walls look like they have never been cleaned 🤮

Afternoon
Apologies for the delayed response but we have only just registered with Trip Advisor.
The Toilets at the Bus Station are council-run and not operated by the Sovereign Shopping Centre.
Our toilets are located by Wilkos at the Penny Lane entrance.
We will respond to all comments going forward.
Kind Regards
Sovereign Shopping Centre

I chose to do my parents shopping here yesterday morning. I politely asked a female member of the sovereign centre what time Wilkinson opened ? She snapped back 8am like all the stores in here.. ok thanks I replied on the way to Wilkinson I noted that savers and pound shop actually opened at 9am. So along with the bad attitude she gave me incorrect information.. thanks..
I was waiting in the queue to enter Wilkinson practicing social distancing the same delightful member of staff approached me motioning me to move out of the way (shooing me away in effect ) saying I was blocking her way through to the office door.. I think an “excuse me sir “would’ve been more appropriate.
In reality boscombe is on its knees. I would have thought this centre would choose more appropriate staff or at least train the ones they have in better customer service.. I doubt I’ll go back there again..
I reported this to the management and to be fair he said he’d look into this matter and escalate it to his management .. I wait for an explanation

I spent a nice afternoon in this beautiful city. The harbor is the second biggest in the world. And there are many shops around.

Pleasant enough shopping mall, clean and well laid out. It is close to a bus station, the surrounding area is a little bit old fashioned and needs a little bit of cleaning up.

Not all the shops are opened yet but I so like the interior of this shopping centre and the current variety of the shops here!
I do look forward to the next few months or year to see what other shops will be taking up space here.
Hopefully more people will go to support the current show operators to keep them thriving!

We decided to visit during our 5 day break in Bournemouth to find a GAME shop. We were pleasantly surprised to find the variety of shops available both undercover in the shopping arcade and in the outdoor pedestranised area. We managed to do a lot of shopping in a short space of time without getting soaked then went for a coffee in Costa Coffee. The Centre was further out from Bournemouth centre than we realised and as we were unfamiliar with the area, had a taxi to/from our hotel, which cost us approx £15 but perhaps the local bus service may have been cheaper? However, we spent a pleasant 2-3 hours here and got everything we wanted (as well as other things we picked up) relatively stress free.
