Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a well laid out place. The routes and grades were well thought out and consistent. Most of the routes required a bit of thought which adds to the challenge. The staff are friendly and if you have a problem on a route, they are more than happy to give you some tips. I will come back there soon!

My daughter has lessons on a Sat and we had a family session to teach us oldies. Jordan and Miguel are both so good with the kids, really encouraging and knowledgable and George was fantastic at encouraging us grown ups to go a bit higher!

I had an Adult induction session today with Matt. He was really friendly, encouraging, and the training session was excellent!! It was my first time climbing, and I feel like I've learned the most important things to get started. Warm up, safety tricks, and lot of advice. I'm definitely coming back soon!!

I took my 5 year old to introduce him to Bouldering. We were very impressed. All the Covid safety features are very reassuring. We had an induction from a member of staff which was so well done, my 5 year old loved it.
I was then able to supervise him myself as well as have a go - a welcome opportunity to do a physical activity that I like too! A really great set up for a single parent as we could take it in turns to climb.
We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day for more.

Had an Adult induction session yesterday and Matt was really friendly and really good with his training. The facilities itself was very spacious and wasn't crowded, everyone had a face mask or visor on and there was antibac gel available for use around the facilities. It's really fun to be there and despite going alone I ended up talking to a few people as we were trying to tackle the same route and discuss the different approaches to being successful. I will 100% make it a regular place I frequent

Took the grandsons 8 and 10 for a taster climbing hour. They loved it. They have climbed before but I was really impressed with Matt who taught them. He had a friendly and encouraging manner which they responded well to. Have now booked them in to a 6 week climbing group there.
Only thing I would add is it could be warmer if you're sitting waiting!- layer up the clothes!

I booked an adult introduction to familiarise with the Climbing Lab. The introduction by Gregg was excellent. Warm up, safety, how to land if you fall and more were given. Better than previous establishments I have been too. Kit included in the session too. The Lab is a good size so there was plenty of choice even when it was a busy Saturday afternoon. Cant wait to go back there soon.

Have been climbing at the lab for 3 years or so now. Recently bought a 10 climb punch pass (as is my usual), but frustratingly was injured on my first climb and I’m now not going to be able to use the remaining 9 climbs.

I contacted them to see if there was any way I could pay them for my individual climb last week, but cancel the punch pass for the remaining 9, so that I’m not paying for all of the entries I won’t be able to use.

My e-mail was ignored, and when I called to ask, I was told point-blank there is a no refunds policy.

I appreciate that policies need to exist, and why. I also understand that if I’d just started climbing at the lab, climbed 4 or 5 times and realised I didn’t like it, then it’s probably tough luck.

I’m really disappointed that they are unwilling to help reach some form of solution, and are instead happy to charge me £55 for 1 climb, with no recognition of the fact I’m now physically incapable of using the service I’ve paid for.

I’m sure it won’t matter to them given their recent expansion and popularity but for me its completely soured my opinion of the place. There are ways to engage with customers and to implement and explain policies and this isn’t it.

My wife and I had our induction a few months prior and I decided to get some use out of it for an afternoon.
A genuinely fun experience that is constantly changing thanks to the routes being changed regularly.
Had a great afternoon climbing even though a quick slide down a wall left an impression on my arm.
Expect to be sweaty at the time and sore for a few days after as this works muscles you don’t realise you have!
