    Great little gem!
Came here on a busy Saturday afternoon in Harrogate for a drink with family and it was a gem of a place! Quite busy which made for a good atmosphere and a fantastic selection of ales from all over mostly including small independent breweries. It was. Little on the pricey side as a bottle cost Ā£6 but it wouldnā€™t affect my rating as the ambience of the place well overrides it. Would definitely recommend and canā€™t wait to return!

    Compact and cosy
Popped in for a drink on a Sunday evening and it was almost full! Good selection of cask beers, really helpful staff behind the bar (who suggested some great beers) and lovely cosy atmosphere (we were in the cellar). Great place to spend a few hours trying great beer.

As they say in Yorkshire - ā€œ speak as you findā€ what a cracking pub , with their own beer and delightful staff and customers. Well being a world weary traveler, And on my first trip to Harrogate, I consulted TA and this , and others, came up. Thankfully - I chose this, a little hard to find - donā€™t let the door sign for a curry house put you off - turn left and youā€™ve found a little piece of beer making and moreover drinking heaven. The bartend and locals were as welcoming as can be expected, and noting the proper beer is brewed by themselves - the barman was as knowledgeable as one should expect from a fellow aficionado. Please all CAMRA members head straight for this pub when you arrive in Harrogate, and all others join CAMRA! Thanks to the guys at the bar for such interesting discourse and 12/10 to the barman/ owners for such a great venue and beer - as MacArthur said - I will return!

When visiting Harrogate, make sure that you call into this great Pub. It sells an excellent selection of local real ales and the wine is also very good. In the main, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The landlord was particularly so and gave me some great advice about restaurants and walks in the area. The log burner was very useful given the cold weather and the place has a smashing feel about it.

We will definitely be back.

What a great find this was - good atmosphere, decent range of well kept cask, knowledgable guy behind the bar and somewhere just a bit different in all the right ways. Brilliant place.

We called in for a drink on a rainy evening to find this absolute gem! Itā€™s very quirky and old worldly type of micro pub. Worth a visit!
