Neighbourhood: Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

There are many good shops on the street. If you come to Milan for shopping, you can set aside time here. The street got its name during the reign of Napoleon. Before the Fashion Quarter settled here, there was a fortress moat, and later a monastic quarter.

It was surprisingly nice visit to the district. Allthough I am not a shopper type, I was impressed by the brands present. And finally I got to try on the wrist watch I have been looking for for two years, but never seen in nature.

This street is the best example of why Milan is called capital of fashion. There are lots of shops (very expensive) but it's fine even just take a look at the Showcases.

Here are the boutiques of the most expensive fashion brands. If you are not going to buy, you have no place here, although you can see expensive cars on the street.

It is one of the most famous road in the world. Together with Via della Spiga is the hub of the italian fashion. It is for sure the best spot to look the windows of stilists or jeweleries. However it is the street itself that i do not like. It is a normal street, with traffic, with wild parking. I think that one of the most famous streets in the world should deserve a better image. Anyhow it is unmissable in Milan.

I visited Via Monte Napoleone in December 2019. I had been here before in July 2018. Via Monte Napoleone is the fashion center of Milan and perhaps the world. It is a lot of fun simply to walk here and look at the famous stores - Prada, Ferragamo, Fendi, Gucci, Armani and many more. I enjoyed walking here and taking photos of the famous stores.

Its a must do for anyone who enjoys luxury brand shopping. The area is spread out over 3-4 blocks with a variety of independent high end boutique shoppes as well as major luxury brands. There a are plenty of eateries, cafes and restaurant scattered throughout the area. Monte Napoleone is the major street, but do wonder about a few blocks in every direction from monte napoleone.
