Neighbourhood: Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great cafe/bar if you like good music and drinks. Barman was very friendly and speaks good English. Spent three nights in here drinking while I was in Florence. Great location as well with it being very close to the sights. My wife was not drinking alcohol but that did not matter as the barman was only too happy to make up non alcoholic cocktails and tea etc. Great music....think 60s , classic rock, indie alternative , jazz and blues. An amazing little place. Love it.

Relaxed and down to earth bar. Energic bartender that asks what taste preferences you have and then mix a personal drink for you. Perfect place for a drink you didn’t knew existed until you got it. And it was really good, spot on!

Visited here with friends a few times whilst in Florence for the weekend. Staff were really friendly, Moretti only 3 euros, good music, vinyl-themed tables, nice atmosphere.

I came here by accident and had a lovely pre evening with coffee and good music. The staff is very nice and so were the mostly regular visitors. All the tables are vinyl-themed (hence Il Vinile) with different LP-records, I walked around all of them, spotting the artists. All on the wall is art. The bartender makes jolly good cocktails as well!

Went to this quirky coffee house last summer with my friend - a complete god send for hiding away from the crowds and enjoying a fantastic coffee. We were in Florence for 3 days and went there every single day. Im going back to Florence in June and Il Vinile will be my first stop!

A lovely themed cafe with a unique aesthetic, with tables designed in the shape of vinyls, friendly staff, good prices, and some fantastic sandwiches named after famous bands. Would definitely recommend.
