Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked the 12km ride. Our german guide Nele showed us the farm, explained the concept and all the tasks come along with managing nearly 200 huskies. It was very interessting and individual. Handling the dogs was many fun and steering the sledge was exciting. The tour could have been double the distance. Sitting in the sledge is a little bit hard, especially in the back but I made already a easy improvement. Next time I will be interessted in a multi day tour, thats for sure BR, Michael

Experience could be improved by asking coach party groups if anyone was likely to keep their foot on the brake - they should be positioned on sleds at the rear so as not to hold everyone else up who is happy to let the dogs run at their pace and not keep having to stop because of the slow sled in front. It was dangerous with sleds capcising and spoilt our enjoyment. Also at the end of the run - there was no-one around to tell us how to get back to our coach.
Far too many people - our poor dogs didn't get a break between us taking over from one group and then when we'd returned, someone else was already stepping onto our sled.

My wife and I had our first experience of driving a husky sledge and I highly recommend the experience. Jetta huskies is an extremely well managed professional organisation who put the welfare of their animals first. The dogs clearly love to work and their behaviour and temperament reflects the care they are shown. I highly recommend the experience

They forget to pick us up at the agreed time. We had to wait for over an hour. They did not call, also they were not reachable!

We booked a trip to Finland as something special came up with only a few weeks notice and really wanted to go on a Husky Safari as a highlight of our trip. We looked at Hetta which appealed to us due to the location. The trips weren’t available to book online (I guess due to it only being a couple of weeks away) but it said to contact Hetta as there may be availability. The website showed an option for WhatsApp, so I used this to send a message. Later that day, I got a call from them but I missed it. Minutes after missing their call, I called back but they seemed confused as to why I was calling them despite me saying I’d just missed their call. I went through the enquiry with them again and was told they’d call me back when they finished driving. I got no call back.
The next day I sent another message reminding me them of my booking request. My message was read, but not responded to. For the next 2-3 days, I tried calling them twice per day and sent a message reminding them that I was desperately waiting for them to get back to me.
I continued to be ignored. I became nervous that I wouldn’t be able to get hold of them if I encountered any issues with my booking so have ended up booking elsewhere, albeit with a more inconvenient location. I have lost my confidence with this company which I feel is vital when large amounts of money and creating lifelong memories are concerned.

A fantastic activity, so well run, they clearly love their dogs and the dogs enjoy the run, it was great fun and helping put the dogs back at the end was amazing, not a regular dog lover! but the whole place was inspiring , all our group were blown away.

Went as a guided party for the Husky experience. I love animals and was concerned that they would just be 'working dogs' and used as such but was amazed at the love and care they get. It really is pushed that although we are 'paying customers', the dogs are the important ones and rightly so. We had a chance to pet those that wanted the attention (there were plenty), talked about how the place operates along with the amazing adoption program and then got to experience and drive a husky sledge ride. WOW!!! Have to say that was the most amazing experience of our break and left in awe of the dogs power and energy.. I would happily return to Finland just to experience that again. Thank you.

Hetta Huskies is absolutely phenomenal. The team puts the dogs first, and you get a real sense that this is one of the most ethical and responsible dogsledding businesses in the country. The team really cares a lot about the dogs, knows each of them individually, and provides an incredible experience. My daughters and I did a two-day dogsledding trip which included an extra day on either end where we learned to care for the dogs and helped feed and look after them. The HH team is so incredibly welcoming and knowledgable. This was one of our all-time favorite experiences as a family. I am deeply grateful to the HH team for making this happen!

Hetta was able to fit us in for a private 20km husky ride last minute on Christmas Day! Now that’s great customer service! Sam was our guide and he was fantastic. Taking video and photos of us to air drop to us afterwards, which was so awesome. He was a lovely young man who cared about the dogs. We got to pick our team and hear about them before our trip. A very authentic experience, definitely NOT commercial and short like the ones closer to Levi. 100% recommend.

What a lovely experience visiting the dog farm and getting to know the life on the farm. The interns who showed us around were very friendly and extremely kind. The best part was being able to pet and cuddle with the dogs, who were absolutely adorable. I bet the experience would be amazing in the winter with the possibility of sledding with the dogs.

Hi.
Apologies that you had no reply. We are actually a tiny company and when we are short of staff - which we have been since covid started - whatever time we have goes first on the dogs (everyday care, medical needs, training etc) and then on any of the many other things that need to happen to get the team functional, tracks prepared for winter, online booking possibilities made available etc. Until we hear the capacity need of the large companies our hands are tied in terms of answering emails so we wait until that point, figure out the remaining capacity for private tours, put tours available online and then start to work through emails in that order. Otherwise, all we can answer is 'we don't know yet'...I appreciate that when you are at the waiting end too, it is a bit frustrating.
Anyway, apologies again.

Hello I've emailed you a few weeks ago about booking some trips in December 2020 but I've yet to get a reply.

Hi there. Sorry about that. We are struggling to cope with requests for the next few days let alone for next season at present. (Our staff run tours all day and try to answer emails at night). 2B honest, it will be a while before we even think about safari timings for next Dec. since we need to find out the resource needs of our partner companies first...and they won't know that until the end of this season. Rest assured that we always have availability for short tours in December, but you will need to be patient until we have even a provisional calendar in place. Could you make a note to contact us again in, for instance, September? All the best. Anna

Dear,
Could you please inform me on the possibilities for a 6km husky safari on Friday Feb 24th at night for around 12 people?
Thanks in advance for the information.
Kind regards,
Pauwel

Greetings. We didn't see this message, I am afraid. February is the height of the season and we struggle to just keep up with basic emails and phone calls, let alone all of the peripheral social media. Many apologies and I hope you enjoyed a husky ride anyway, either here or elsewhere.

Hi there,
Has anyone had any difficulty getting in touch with Hetta Huskies via email? I have sent two emails and one Facebook message trying to enquire about visiting in December, but I haven't heard back. Not sure if there is something wrong with their system or if I'm doing something wrong? I've been trying to contact them for over a month. I thought they may not be responding until peak season. I haven't tried calling yet as we are from Australia, but I could always do so.
Thanks,
Anna M

Hi Sarah...We have only one person who works on email enquiries (in-between feeding dogs, oiling sleighs etc) and she was away working with the refugees in Greece over the summer months, I am afraid. She is now back and working through a backlog of enquiries. However, she was told to start by working, first, through multiday enquiries and those short safari enquiries for times when we are less busy which we can actually answer affirmatively or negatively. For the small safari peak season enquiries, however, we essentially can't say anything until we have tied down the contract with the biggest area supplier - and we keep thinking that that will happen 'tomorrow' and then it doesn't. Hence, probably, the delay...Apologies. Just bear with us and we will answer ASAP, once we know how much availability we will actually have, in December. It generally isn't difficult to fit small safaris in, over a period of a few days, but we don't necessarily have capacity every day since that is the one month in the year when we may have up to 700 people visiting in any given day.
All the best.
Anna

Sorry guys..we have periods when we are flat out and the same people who are experienced enough to answer emails are also those literally out on the back of a dog team or snowmobile since we don't have a separate sales and safari team. We do it all - for c. 18 hours per day in peak season. Hence, it is sometimes just hard to keep up and juggle emails with responding to walk-in demands and pre-scheduled safaris.
