Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really OLD church in the old part of Espoo. It is really looks cool. Inside is very inspiring and well decorated, with paintings on the ceiling and walls. During christmas time it is even better decorated for sure. Located near Swedish old cemetery. It is interesting to walk around as well, reading text on graves.
Impressive church and impressive piece of Finnish history! recommend to come and see

This old church and its surroundings are beautiful.
I have my family buried here so, I visit there often.

Espoo Cathedral is a medieval stone church from the 1480s.
The interior is exceptionally beautiful. The vaults and walls of the older parts are decorated with striking murals.

Very nice grounds to walk on and a idyllic church itself. Recommend for a visit in the spring/summer time when the gardens are expecially nice.

The middle age wall paintings have very many interesting stories to tell. There was a guide who could answer all our quiestions and tell for example about the famous "Shoe Ella" for whom even the devil was afraid. This is a very peaceful place to visit and you could have pique-nique outside by the river. It is not a typical place for tourists, so it´s a very authentic finnish surrounding.

I don't go to churches that often. This one I visited as my kid's school Christmas mass was held here. As a church it's pretty basic, traditional one I think.
