Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We wanted to visit the Reserve in January but there is no staff at the entrance and the ticket machine was out of order, i.e. out of paper. Without ticket you can't pass the barrier at the Reserve's entrance.

What a nice trip to this astonishing natural reservation not far away from Františkovy Lázně. Within short time you feel like and smell like in Iceland or Yellostown. You can easily walk the wooden 1.2 KM long trail through out the extensive bogs, where a large number of mineral springs and pure carbon dioxide spring up in the so-called moffets . With some caution it can be managed with a pram or wheelchair. There are many info panel in the Czech, German and English. The educational trail is done in 1-2 hours depending how many pictures you take or want to read the panels with descriptions and explanations. During the visit you can possibly meet a wide range of protected plants and animals living in these specific hostile conditions. The part of the tour are two small museums one about the Nature of Soos and Chebsko region and a pavilion with an exhibition "History of the Earth" and paleontology and also natural geological park. The entrance fee for adult 120,- CZK. In the winter time or after 18:00 you pay just 60,- CZK in the self service machine, at that time only educational trail available.

An easy wander through well maintained geo reserve. The boardwalk was easy to manage and showed visitors highlights of the area. Liked browsing through the rustic information office and surrounds.

Hot springs and moffets were very interesting, unique for this part of Europe. New Tourist center, and very good restaurant in the next village

If you are nearby you should definitely visit this place. I have been her few years ago and wanted to return. You will see very interesting nature here, trail takes probably less than an hour but it is really nice!

Beautiful piece of Carlsbad's region. The way is approximately 1.5km long and along the way there are some pieces of information about the place. It is more than suitable for family and it costs only 90Kč per person.

This is a smaller version of Yellowstone. Friend of mine, who has visited both places says, that both places smell the same way. In SOOS you can see not only traces of volcanic activity and numerous mineral springs, but animal corner with goats and sheep and a station of rescued wild birds too. It is a nice and interesting stroll here.
The entrance fee is 100,- CZK per adult and the ticket includes a visit of two nearby museums (about birds and animals in the area and about geological history of the region with the big dinosaur figures).
Unfortunately all information are only in Czech and German, so visitors, who don't understand any of these languages, don't understand to any explanations of places and exhibits. I think to use English (at least somewhere) would be very helpful.

The location was originally a salt-water lake. It was transformed into peat bogs and mineral salt marshes over time. You can see traces of volcanic activity and numerous mineral springs. SOOS is not an abbreviation, but it means "swamp" in the German dialect of the area of Cheb.
The walk is 1,2 kms long nature trail and the cost is currently 90 Kc per adult.

It's worth a side trip if you are in the FL area. I think it may be better to see with snow on the ground, but it was interesting for sure.
At a very slow stroll, the route barely took an hour. We didn't spend more than 10 minutes in the museum. There is a rescue bird exhibit off to the side, which didn't look very attractive, but there were some interesting owls, buzzards, and others in there.

You don´t need to travel to Island once you want to see how such kind of landscape should looks like. I dream about visit of this area from my school time where we laearned about geology wanders in Czechia. To see all in reality was very pleasantly and above expectations.
