Visitors have special opportunity to buy good paintings (mainly artists from Slovenia) for low prices in small galleries in Ljubljana. People in the mentioned places are helpful. They speak English and some other languages. Nearly all the mentioned small galleries are near the Čevljarski most on the left bank of the Ljubljanica. They are better idea than souvenir shops. SloArt is little far but interesting, too.

I have been cooperating withe the Galeery Y for a couple of years now. As an artist. What I really like about it is the vision of not only exibiting very good art, but also the wish and willingness to get the art in touch with art lovers … existing and also those, who don't know they are art lovers yet.

Sloart was
first online gallery in Slovenia.
Now they have new gallery in center Ljubljana.
If you want to see the work of young Slovenian artists and other Slovenian artworks necessarily visit the gallery.
I highly recommendet.

Had very good experience with this gallery wich is located on one of the most vivid streets of Ljubljana. They offer artworks from different historical periods and they also collaborate with contemporary artists which I find especially intriguing. Highly recommended!

Trubarjeva street in Ljubljana is one of the most picturesque in the city. In the time visiting they were renovating the street, but anyway. I found this small and nice gallery across the Rog center, across colorful graffiti wall They were just opening their space showing some contemporary Slovene paintings. Very nice and approachable staff. Worth visiting If you are in this parts of the world.

Unfortunately, Trubarjeva street will be reconstructed for a while. We can hardly wait until it's over.
