Must do experience. Make sure you are properly covered.
What an architectural wonder. This is a must-do for Abu Dhabi. Our very knowledgeable tour guide Saif made it even better. Please make sure if you are a woman, you need to be covered from head to foot. Your face can show but head, arms and rest of body must be covered. We were not with a group and hence were not aware that you could rent clothes. The information point and the lady security personnel were blunt and unhelpful. We were made to buy a scarf at an exorbitant price which we probably will not use again in our life.

    Great visit and culture tour
Wonderful place a must see. Sun afternoon it took 1 hr to get thru visitor's center to entrance. I highly recommend taking the free cultural tour just about every hour on the hour meeting point just inside Maine entrance arch to the right. You get to go into the make prayer room, public tour only looks in the tour provided many insights and close up look out guide on 19 Mar Khalid did a wonderful job. Tour is in English only.

    Breathtaking!
Just breathtaking!! Try to make the free guided cultural tour to learn more and see quiet places without too many people. Mouza Almansoori was a super guide!! Dynamic and very clear.

    Beautiful & Peaceful Mosque
I visited this holy place during my visit to Dubai in March 2023. Visiting this holy mosque was part of our Dubai Travel package. Our guide shared every piece of information related to this wonderful place. This is built with white marble & I found it very beautiful. The mosque has the world's biggest single-piece carpet. The place is very peaceful and one feels blessed after his visit. Any body visiting Abu Dhabi should visit this mosque once.

Must visit place. Strict dressing code. Not good guard.
Astonishing beauty from any aspect. It is a real masterpiece. The clothes code there is very strict. I worn a long shirt and dress. But the guard didn't let me in coz my white shirt is a little bit transparent. There is a place to rent clothes, but the gurd lied. He said there isn't and let us to buy new clothes in any clothing store nearby. Which is not pleasant.

Do not miss. Easy to access
I took 94 bus from downtown. You enter the glass golf ball like building and registered easily on arrival. You take the underground path of tolerance to the heart of the complex. Your walk is steered hence you can have many photos without people in then. Prepare for your jaw to hit the floor as you marvel at its beauty. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

    Truly Spectacular
What a stunning place. Truly magnificent spectacle and absolutely amazing - and all free. If you are in Abu Dhabi, or Dubai, do make it a point to see this splendid Grand Mosque. Do be aware of the dress codes and follow them strictly. But once you are inside, the structure is going to marvel you. Stunning engineering, beautiful and a modern Taj Mahal like structure. Truly spectactular. A big food court is available at the basement as well.

    Don’t miss the free tours!
We visited the mosque and were blown away by its beauty. The center offers free tours on the hour. This is the best way to visit the mosque. Our guide was Khawla. She was so kind and informative and she answered all of our questions. The tour allowed us to avoid the crowds and long queues. It also gave us the opportunity to remove our shoes and enter the main hall, not just take pictures from the doorways behind the ropes. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our 10 days in UAE.

A must do if in UAE
Holidaying with family in Dubai and this was on our agenda. I would highly recommend a visit here, the building is simply stunning. BUT please check that you follow the dress code advice, they are very strict. One of our party was turned away multiple times for slight infringements - her wrists could be seen, her abaya was hanging open at front, her abaya was slightly sheer. Entry involves passing through various checkpoints to make sure dress code is adhered to. Similarly within the mosque. That being said it was a fabulous visit, the first part which is reached via an incongruous underground mall, has moving walkways with pictures and information about the history of the mosque. Once you arrive out into the open again the building stands in front of you. A glorious sight. There are designated photo opportunity sites which help keep the crowds moving. It is possible to be shown round by a guide, but we preferred not too. There are information boards to explain about the architectural features. The visit includes the very large prayer room - this was the most crowded part of the trip and progress here was slower but definitely a must do. Outside there are beautiful well tended gardens. Then back through the underground walkways, via the obligatory gift shop and into the mall. At this point it is very welcome as there are coffee shops and places to get refreshments. Certainly a must do - if visiting UAE.

    Afternoon Visit and Guided Tour
Dress attire must follow their guidelines or you will not be permitted entry, point blank. For women it's trickier given the heat - hair must be concealed, no cleavage, feet must also not be exposed. There are stores in the underground and adjacent mall that sell attire to fit the mosque's requirements. Parking is underground and such that you go through this mall to enter. Re the mosque itself - it is absolutely beautiful. Expect to spend an hour alone to go through it at your own pace, on top of the guided tour that takes about an hour. Totally worth seeing it in the day time and at night - we went twice!

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is beautiful mosque in Abu Dhabi. The size and architecture of the mosques is absolutely stunning both in day time and again when lit up at night. It is very well organised to enable tourists and guests to visit, and a must do when in Abu Dhabi.

Huge and fantastic beautiful mosque. It's a little bit outside the city but worth it. Also, getting in needs planning. You need advance tickets and need to cover up. My wife only got in on the third attempt. Entrance and exit is thru a shopping mall which is very different from other mosques we have visited.

Such a beautiful and magnificent place, it’s difficult to take it all in during one visit. I’d love to visit again. It is of course astonishing what sort of an effort has been made to build this mosque both financially and in terms of labour. I am the most interested in the experience of the people who actually use it for prayer. Unfortunately we had too little time there, and it was quite crowded. It helped that the guards were everywhere so that kept things orderly.

I have been to this mosque a couple of times and this time upon my short visit to AD I made sure to visit it twice.
The night tour was very spiritual for me as a Muslim especially as there was a live and relaxing recitation of the Holy Quran. What I did not like was that to enter the mosque you had to go through the mall which did not make any sense as it seemed a bit commercialised. Moreover, as a Muslim you cannot prayer past prayer times which seemed a bit strange but maybe it is because they want to keep it touristy as well? Idk

Amazing, beautiful place. I'd never been to a mosque and this one is absolutely beautiful. So well maintained, and while there are lots of people, the traffic flow is well organised. The artistry is incredible, and the place is very peaceful, despite the huge crowd.

Wear comfortable shoes, fair amount of walking, although you can get a ride from the visitor entrance to the main part of the mosque on a cart. There are some strict guidelines for dress, but it's possible to rent an abaya. I was fine in a long sleeved, loose fitting shirt, headscarf and pants. Men also need to dress respectfully.

Visitors enter into a sort of underground mall, with places to eat, plenty of restrooms, places to buy clothing, rent abayas, and other art/souvenir objects. It was interesting and a little unexpected.

I was perfectly comfortable visiting alone.

Most impresive Landmark in UAE!!, super organized, friendly personel, can be quite busy after 10 am.

Easy to park.

Just assure Google Maps is guiding you to the correct Mosque and not the one in the Corniche

Visiting Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque was a profoundly serene and spiritual experience, its magnificent architecture and the tranquil ambiance enveloping me in a sense of peace and awe. The intricate detailing, from the world's largest carpet to the stunning chandeliers, left me utterly captivated, reflecting the grandeur and beauty of Islamic art.
