- Theresa VPerth, Australia115 contributionsRejuvenating after COVIDObviously not the same as pre COVID, places boarded up, but looks like a few are reopening. Still plenty of people around to give it its atmosphere. Plenty of choice of eateries and things to do, including walking over the many bridges. Great at night with the lights!Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 13 April 2023
- VidyaMumbai, India80 contributionsFavourite bit of SingaporeI recommend doing the cruise around sunset to get some photos and to enjoy the serenity of the bumboat. Follow that up with a beer and some finger food at one of the riverside eateries. End your night with a stroll to admire the city lights and get some dessert. Perfect evening in Singapore!Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 May 2023
- HieatsreychPhilippines306 contributions🌟🌟🌟Wow, where do I even begin with Clarke Quay? This vibrant riverside destination in Singapore absolutely stole my heart. From the moment I stepped foot into the area, I was greeted with a lively atmosphere and a captivating blend of colors, sounds, and aromas.Visited August 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 July 2023
- Happy TravellerSydney, Australia5,428 contributionsIt’s great when it’s openWell this place seems to be getting some renovations done at the moment. It’s a very vibrant place at night time, but during the day, honestly, it was pretty dead. It’s hard to even get something to eat or drink. There is nothing opens until well after 11. If you’re a visitor, don’t expect any shopping or food to be open, but it’s nice enough to walk around , but if you stay late enough you can get a bum boat and have a little tour out into the area where Marina Bay Sands -is it’s quite pleasantVisited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 July 2023
- Abhay MehtaUdaipur, India235 contributionsNice hangout placeGood place to hangout especially for couples. You can have all kind of food even Indian too. The place is better for nonveg food and boozing, but we enjoyed a lot though we are vegetarian. The food cost is same as of Boat Quay i.e., in fine dine category.Visited August 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 July 2023

Clarke Quay has alot to offer and a fun vibe for late afternoon drinks and dinner. It’s bright, it’s colourful, it’s busy, it’s fun and most of the bars and restaurants are more casual walk in style.

What a change since Covid...it no longer has a buzz and a great feeling of friendliness for tourists. Wouldn't go back!

We were here for a stroll in the evening. Vibrant as usual, with plenty of locals & tourists alike. A good spot for an evening out in the city.

We caught a taxi here to take a cruise on the Singapore River/reservoir. Other than the 5 people working in the ticket booth and 2 waiters in the nearby Zorba restaurant, there were no other people in sight. Such a difference from when last here, the place was bustling and a had a fantastic atmosphere. The major redevelopment currently doesn't entice people, could be interesting to see how many survive in business until the work is completed. 6 of us departed on the cruise, we were the only returnees to have lunch at Zorbas on return.

We made the effort to go to Clarke Quay as it was "a place to see" in Singapore. Went on the train, hard to find the area I was looking for on the river. Got lost. Eventually found it. Nothing going on there. Noone around. Disappointing lunch as they weren't actually serving the food in the pictures advertised. Lots of walking with nothing to see. Tried getting a taxi home to hotel, taxi rank shut. More walking, eventually caught the train back. Don't bother going here during the day. Perhaps it comes alive at night?
