Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The garden on the left bank side is really good. You must visit in the evening, after 5.30 pm. The lights and fountains come alive at around 6.00 pm, that's when you will enjoy it most. The garden is maintained clean. Parking is ample.

The garden has many other activities: laser show, musical fountains, 7D rides, ... We didn't take any of them.

Stay at KSTDC Mayura Hotrl on Sitimani hill. It offers marvellous views of the dam and reservoir.

The KSTDC Mayura Krishna resort near Almatti is perched on top of a hill with fantastic views of Almatti dam, backwaters, Mughal garden on opposite shore & Krishna river beyond - a must visit place in monsoon when dam doors have been opened. The colourful fountains & laser show in evening @ The Mughal garden is also worth visiting, with other nicely maintained Rock garden, Lav - Kush garden & Gopal Krishna garden making this a perfect weekend getaway spot

Timing are so funny for Musical fountain and staff there treat Tourist as outsider, its more for local people. Al park close by 6 but fountain start by 7.30, so nothing to do, most of fountain are close. Tourist dont waste time going there

This is one of the biggest dams in Karnataka. And this season having seen very heavy rainfall, we were hoping to get very good views. Unfortunately, your are not allowed onto the road on top of the dam, nor are there any real vantage or viewing points from which to see and admire the dam.
There is a very touristy park/garden- which is very nice. But then, we did not come here from the glam- we wanted the dam !

Almatti Dam on Krishna river is one of the largest dams in Karnataka. The dam has now been developed as a tourist spot and is very popular as a picnic spot. The gardens in the vicinity are well maintained with boating facilities.

The Alamatti dam is named after India's one of the earlier prime minister Shri Lalo Bahaddur Shatri. The name of dam is Lal Bahaddur Shatri Sagar.

The Almatti Dam is the main reservoir of the Upper Krishna Irrigation Project. The dam is located on the edge of Bijapur and Bagalkot districts. There are two small gardens situated near dam named lav Kush and Krishna garden. All age people can have a good fun time here. We can enjoy the musical fountain there in the evening. Boating facility also available in a pond at the entrance of rock garden. Rock garden is a beautiful and very big one with different kinds of birds, animals, landscapes, lakes etc. Kids really love this place. At the entrance of Dam some good hotels and restaurants are available for food and stay.
