Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a great evening at 'Open Mic' night in this lively pub in Oliver. The selection of beers is good including a non alcoholic lager and the food is reasonably priced and very good indeed. It is clearly loved by locals of all ages and across generations with good reason, as well as visitors like us. The service is great - cheerful, friendly and very efficient. If you are in the area it is definitely worth a visit. Try the hamburger which is great!

After a long day's drive, this gave us a quick and decent "happy hour" menu to share.
It provided what we needed.

I used to go to this pub all the time before Covid. WOW! what a difference now. Can you not hire servers who actally smile at you and say welcome. (Takes 5 seconds) We asked for a specific table (the one we always used to sit at) and the server said nothing and placed the menus on a different table. I said thanks and moved to our table as it was vacant. Apparently our table was in another servers territory and we got the skank eye from the server who picked our table. REALLY! Owners/Managers please take note!...We are the customers. Without us you should just close yor doors. Beer selection was phenomenal. Food was very good. Tense atmosphere was very bad and we felt uncomfortable making the food and the beer not worth the journey. I truly hope that management takes our reviews seriously as you still have a bit of a hole to crawl out of since Covid. I respect what The Firehall has done in the past and hope that this slight transgression can be tweeked so we can enjoy this great pub again.

Hello, so sorry to hear about your negative experience! Was this upstairs or downstairs at the Firehall building? We would like to rectify this, as customer experience is one of our primary focuses, along with brewing great beer and bringing community together. Thank you for your feedback, though next time please contact us directly through our website, email or phone, as bad public reviews are only harmful to our family-run business if we are unable to acquire all the information required to solve the issue. Thank you!

Regular run of the mill pub food. Fish and chips were slightly worse than average, but still edible. Appetizers were cold. I don't hire why we keep going back here???

Great beer selection and decent pub food. Really it's all about the beer as the atmosphere is not that great in there...but thankfully the beer was great. Loved the Ember bitter, the smoky stout and the harvest porter.

“The beer of wine country”. Nice craft place with a bistro up top. Food snacks available. Good selection of beers on tap and off sales and merchandise as well.

While winery touring in this area, went out for nice dinner with friends here.
It used to be the fire hall, great atmosphere & tasty food.
Nice that they cater to GF & celiac diners.
Service and food were both good.
We enjoyed lasagna shrimp fish n chips Caesar salad & some fine beverages.
Looking forward to coming again.

We had an excellent lunch. We had wings and cod bites. Both excellent. Every time I said yes to another condiment, it did NOT cost .50 cents like the Sage or the pub at Gallagher lake.
Thanks Miranda.
