Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This little gem both gives you a fantastic view of the Ligurian sea and cliffs AND a unique little Chinque-Terre-Style harbor with so much charm and beauty with great possibilities for a swim or snorkling.
There is even several places for the kids to jump from bridges/cliffs into the sea.
A great place for the entire family!

It's all gorgeous on the Italian Riviera and continues to Nice and beyond on the French side. Tellaro is my favorite, away from the crowded tourist buses that bring people from Milano to Cinque Terre. Local families spend summers at the seaside here. Of course, there are tourists everywhere but the flavor here is distinctly local Italian. Not many hotels, many good restaurants, and of course, the splendor of the sea. There are public ferries, not expensive that take you throughout the area. A wonderful vacation destination to enjoy 'La Dulce Vita'.

The track from Lerici through the olive groves is closed off and dangerous. There are no signs or taped off area until you reach the washed out gorge. Two other tracks from Lerici also closed and not maintained. This area is not a good alternative to walking the Cinque Terre tracks.

We came here instead of Cinque Terra and are glad we did. Most vacationers seem to be Italian. Very picturesque, not very crowded. Sea, hiking, strolling, plenty of restaurants. Very relaxing.

Peaceful village and smell the perfume which slips out from the doors and cracks, windows and paths, of this small spaces, imposant houses, colourful, this is centro storico del Paese di Tellaro; emotions I experience before discovering that a light attracts me from the bottom, I saw the sea and its horizon, and the sun blinds me; a choreography of dances, a spectacle created by the times, the village before me, the reality, the rocks appears, the market town , the music of the sea behind me takes me
over and I continue to dream in this charmant ambiance of centro storico in this beautiful
paese.

We had a beaut Airbnb place in Montemarcello and decided to have lunch in Tellaro and boy we were surprised. What a great little town.
After lunch we went for a drive to two of the five villages in Cinque Terre which was worth doing but not as good as Tellaro. Tellaro had very few people whereas the two towns in Cinque Terre were very busy and it was April!!

This little area has original italian flair. I've been there with a friend in high season but there where only familys and relaxed people. If you here the bells of the church, watch out for the crazy dog who is barking as he would be going crazy! It brought a big smile in my face every time...
The hiking routes are amazing there!

Tellaro is a town that is not for those who like the hustle and bustle of a large city..in fact, the road ends in Tellaro! There are several hotels of decent size, some B &Bs, and 11 restaurants which serve good seafood...if you'd just like a relaxing weekend, this town is for you!
