Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pleasant shady area with views of the sea. Nice for a stroll. Nothing special - don't go out of your way to see it.

A lovely park with a market and many attractions. Especially good for children. You can play crazy golf, use the playground, ride on merry-go-rounds or buy ice cream.

Lovely park to wander around during the day or in the evening, with a good bar and ice cream place. There are a few activities for children.

The "Pineta Marradi" is a landmark and a reserve of urban green space that makes even more enjoyable this pretty seaside town. This pine grove occupies a large area between the Castiglioncello railway station and the high rocky coast, and is arranged as a public garden. From it you can proceed either north or south side, through two pleasant promenades along the sea, reserved for pedestrians.
The pine grove is named after the poet Giovanni Marradi, who was owner of a small part of it, then later enlarged. In fact Castiglioncello has become famous since the nineteenth century thanks mainly to writers or painters (such as Giovanni Fattori and Telemaco Signorini) who have stayed here.
One of the bathing establishments, on the edge of the pine grove, is well recognizable as a set of a scene from the famous film "The Easy Life" by Dino Risi (1962, in Italian "Il sorpasso"), with Vittorio Gassman and Jean-Louis Trintignant. In fact along this coast were some scenes of the film, until the tragic end.
