We have stayed near Icod de los Vinos a few times but never got round to visiting the doll museum until recently. It is a fascinating place set in a beautiful garden. The owner was so kind and helpful and we enjoyed his demonstration of doll making after looking around by ourselves. Our daughter particularly liked helping to finish off the doll moulds. Then we had delicious almond cake made by his wife (thank you for the recipe!) and a drink in the small cafe. Definitely worth a visit.

We just finished our visit to the dollart museum. What a delight. This beautiful property invites you through their doors with a lovely entrance of foliage, gardens and flowers. Once through you are greeted by the owner who take you to the doll house and does a bit of explanation through the first few exhibits. Then he takes you over to the small workshop to explain and show you the intricate process needed to make these beautiful creations. You are then on your own to discover the dolls and their artists. Truly beautiful and a bit awe inspiring when you see the artistic and creative works. Following this you make your way through the lovely trees and gardens and babbling creek to the teddy bear house. Again, so fun and amazing. Finally you can stop at the little outside bar for a coffee and cake or a canaria wine. This was one of the highlights of our month long visit. Highly recommended for everyone young and old.

Great thanks to Artlandya for a unique afternoon as we drove around the North of Tenerife this February. We were made very welcome by the owner but left alone to explore with the promise of craft demonstrations and further information should we want it (around 90 minutes later as it happens, once we had taken in the collections).
I had no prior knowledge or interest in doll making yet still found the experience fascinating and rewarding; the collections include many different methods of manufacture and finish, and the displays are well arranged and curated to draw you in to the characters. The Dolls and Teddies are sourced from across the world by the passionate owner who will offer as much or as little information as you choose.
I would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting the island, the gardens are very peaceful and we stopped for an excellent coffee and chat before heading back down south (although we both regretted not trying the cake on the counter).
Thanks again for such an uplifting experience and sharing your knowledge!

Went here earlier today, this place is so very lovely, what a gem of a house and the garden is so beautiful.
I’m so pleased we found it and the owner was so attentive and knowledgeable.
Well worth a visit, it’s 10 euros entry and also nearby is drago park which is another very interesting place.
We were staying in Las America’s on holiday and were on the way to Puerto de la Cruz for the day. This place is very conveniently located en route and well worth a look around.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to ARTlandya. The 'museum' is housed in two buildings. We firstly visited the teddy bears who were displayed in different scenes with props etc and were very entertaining. We walked through the rooms twice to make sure that we saw them all.
We then moved on to the dolls which had been brought together from all over the world. These have all been handmade by different artists using different materials (papier mache, felt, porcelain etc). Each one has a story to tell and the owner was very knowledgeable about their backgrounds and the artists who made them. We also had a very interesting demonstration/explanation about how to make the porcelain heads/limbs for some of the dolls.
I wouldn't describe ARTlandya as a museum as that implies the dolls and teddies are old rather than contemporary. I think the word 'collection' or 'exhibition' would be better. We thought they were all great.

Great opportunity to see a huge variety of dolls from all over the World. Dolls - made by true artists who dedicated their lives to master this direction of art. Its spectacular to see how much work is dedicated to create a doll and dress it up. Moreover, it's breathtaking, how much creativity was required to genuinely reflect authentic elements from various nations, show ethnical groups characters and present all of that in faces and dress codes.
You will see toys of boys and girls between age 5-9 and ageing from 30 yeas back to nowadays.
The collection was gathered and maintained by two people (George and his wife) who have decided to share their passion for childhood with others. This will be a small journey into your young days with your family
