A very nice temple located about 10km from Jaggaiapeta. Located at the hill top as Jwala Narasimha, in the river as Salagrama, and in the temple as YogaNarasimha, it is one of the important Narasimha Shrines.
A very nice place to spend time in peace
Lots of monkeys in the surroundings so u have to be careful with ur bags

I visited Vedadri temple located in Jaggayyapet Mandal, Krishna Dist recently. The temple is located just on the banks of river Krishna. The temple is beautiful and surroundings are very quiet. The bathing Ghat is sufficiently long and the water is clean. We had good darshanam of the Deity Sri Yogananda Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy without waiting for long. Outside the temple at a distance there are toilets separately for both Men & Women and we found the facilities very convenient. Any devotee who comes to the temple will feel happy about the atmosphere over here. The issuing of e-tickets, darshanam time etc., are convenient and the staff are cooperative. It’s a great experience to visit Vedadri temple and take the blessings of the most powerful Sri Yogananda Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Varu.

Temple is good. The administrative people in the temple are too harsh with devotees. I went to book a room inside temple premises. They asked me to come by 4PM when I enquired over phone. I went there at the Same time. Then they again asked me to come by 7 PM same day. I reached there by 7. The people again asked me to come by 10 AM next day. And finally they said that rooms are full. Instead of they asking me to come repeated times, they could have said that rooms are not available. Very worst people. Even they won't say words softly. They just behave like as if they are giving rooms at free of cost.

We used to go to temple very frequently. This kind of behavior is observed in recent days only. They also won't give receipt for the rent amount if the room. I just hate the administration of the temple. I request endowment department to look into this.

I wanted to give negative stars to this administration, but no option.

This Temple is located on the banks of River Krishna at VEDADRI village in Krishna district of AP and at a distance of 80 km from Vijayawada and 10 Kms from Chillakallu on Vijayawada-Hyderabad National Highway. The nearest town is Jaggaiahpet at 12km.
The Lord NARASIMHA exists here in five forms viz JWALA, YOGANANDA, VEERA, SALIGRAMA and LAKSMI NARASIMHA.
Lord Vishnu in His ‘Mathyavatar’ (fish) rescued Vedas from the demon Somakasura. The Vedapurush requested Him to reside on their heads. River Krishnaveni also wished to perform daily abhishekam to Him. Lord told them that their wishes will be fulfilled during ‘Narasimha avatar’ and asked Veda Purushas to remain in Krishna waters as Saligram till then and further assured them that He will stay with them as Panchamurthy.
On Killing Hiranyakasipa, Lord Vishnu self-manifested on Vedadri hill as JWALA NARASIMHA. Later Lord Brahma installed SALIGRAMA NARASIMHA MURTHY on the SALIGRAMA mountain.
Later Sage Rishyasringa and others, in search of a suitable place for performing penance, heard Veda recitals in perfect swarms from the hill here, named it as ‘Vedadri’
and performed their penance here and having found in a cave a swayambhu YOGANANDA NARASIMHA , installed it here.
Again at Garuda’s request Lord self-manifested as VEERA NARASIMHA on the top of Garudadri hills, 5km east of Vedadri
As per the prayers of Vanadevatha, the Lord is pervading the mountains as LAKSHMI NARASIMHA MURTHY.
The boundary wall was built by Reddy kings about 800 or 900 years ago.
This Deity was referred to/ praised, visited and worshipped by Poets Yerrapragada, Sreenatha, Vaggeyakara Narayana Theerthulu

We reached Yogananada Narasimha Swami Temple, Vedadri at 4 p.m. after drive of 110 km from Mattapalli. We were pleased and blessed to see glorious idol of Lord Narsimha in temple. Yogananda Sri Narasimha Swamy temple is an ancient temple. According to mythology, in this place Lord exists in five forms, different form each other. Hence the place is known as Vedari. We see that the temple is surrounded by hill at a bank of river Krishna. We see in temple that the Utsava Idols are extraordinarily high and impressive. We were pleased to watch the beautiful Raja Gopuram with images of gods and goddesses are carved on it. A must see temple of Telangana.
