Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very rewarding experience to be able to show your teens how perspective and art can work together. Very friendly staff and the mall is just amazing for families. The views from the mall are very pretty.

A surprising experience even it not a total camera buff. An impressive range of display material and narrative to support them. Take some time to watch the videos available and reignite your passion for capturing your experiences via the lens.

This is a very good free museum. It is built on the original site of JOAK, the first radio broadcast company in Japan. JOAK eventually became NHK. The museum is up very high...it is on top of the highest hill in Tokyo, Atagoyama. There is an elevator close the Atago Green Hills Forest Tower.. . just beyond the tunnel coming from the Kamiyacho side. Also noteworthy is that the museum has an English guide map and electronic English explanation screens next to many exhibits. Good solid interesting museum.

Very casual atmosphere BUT stunning photographs.

Truly enjoyed my time walking through this gallery and even if art galleries are not of interest to you these photos of every aspect of life are fantastic.

    Highly recommend a visit

Lovely quality experience in Tokyo. Gives you the opportunity to try different sake for a reasonable price. (5 types of sake for 500 yen) then it also exist a individual menu for between 100-300 yen for 30 ml. Very polite staff with English that is workable but don’t expect any in-depth presentations of the sake. They have plenty of reading material in different languages to compensate for any poor English.

This exhibition hall was established in the original Shimbashi Station, the starting point of Japan's first railroad line. It's open to all visitors free of charge, and is equipped with slopes and elevators, making it easy for visitors with disabilities such as wheelchairs to use (however, there are no coin lockers, so visitors with large luggage should leave it in advance before using the museum).
Perhaps because the building itself is not that large, the exhibition rooms are correspondingly small. It takes only about 30 minutes just to look around the exhibits. The museum focuses on the history of the railroads in and around the Shinbashi and Shiodome areas, so if you expect to learn about the history of railroads or transportation in a broad sense, you may be disappointed. Still, it's exciting to see the excavated remains of the former Shimbashi Station up close.
The museum has English explanations, but only some of the exhibits are in English.

The museum is really a small exhibition of items related to cosmetics, specifically beni, a red lip colour traditionally used in Japan. It is a well-displayed collection however, with some absolutely beautiful items in it. There is English information available which explains all the displays and gives useful historical background.

After viewing the collection, you are able to try the beni. It was interesting to have a practical demonstration and see how it changes colour from green to red. It's also available to purchase although this was a bit beyond my budget.

The museum is free and very close to the Nezu Museum. It would be a good stop if you are in the area.

Worth of visiting if you’re already at National Art Center. In the basement floor, it’s more than just a museum shop. Some unique items but I could not find anything to buy for young child and teens.

It was early morning and the museum was not open but the interesting and creative architecture of this Marine University Museum is worthy of a review. The building was based on the British liner Queen Elizabeth II, although some liberties were taken. It sits in the Odaiba region of Shinagawa and best accessed via the Yurikamome Monorail from Shimbashi at UO8 ( Tokyo International Cruise Terminal) station.
