Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Collections of this museum characterize various traditions, notably Japan, China and Korea. Here you can find an extensive collection of works of art such as paintings, calligraphic Writings, pottery, lacquer items and Noh costumes.

The museum building have an atmosphere of calm traditional taste. Worth to visit.

The museum is really a small exhibition of items related to cosmetics, specifically beni, a red lip colour traditionally used in Japan. It is a well-displayed collection however, with some absolutely beautiful items in it. There is English information available which explains all the displays and gives useful historical background.

After viewing the collection, you are able to try the beni. It was interesting to have a practical demonstration and see how it changes colour from green to red. It's also available to purchase although this was a bit beyond my budget.

The museum is free and very close to the Nezu Museum. It would be a good stop if you are in the area.

This is a small museum that is attached to the Sengakuji Temple where the bodies of the 47 samurai rest. The temple is interesting and the history quite fascinating. Make sure you spend time at the site of the graves and grave stone--all 47 of them and learn the history--but not Keanu Reeves style as depicted in the movie The 47 Ronin.
