Originally started in the famous Old Aylmer Fruit and Vegetable Cannery building (historic 1930’s south okanagan facility) in 2000 by Brew Master Terry Schoffer and Ron and Pat Dyck, Cannery Brewing got its namesake after the iconic location. Fast forward to 2015, the cannery took over an old automative garage, passed the torch to Son Ian and Owner/Lead Brewer Ross Thompson but kept the micro-brewery quality we all love!

Downtown and on the KVR, it’s the perfect location to visit after a bike ride, for happy hour or in search of epic brews!

Grab a seat, order some incredible pub fare and sip amazing craft beers! 🥨🍺🏆🥪🌮

Had great service from Shay and Calen.

Had a great evening at 'Open Mic' night in this lively pub in Oliver. The selection of beers is good including a non alcoholic lager and the food is reasonably priced and very good indeed. It is clearly loved by locals of all ages and across generations with good reason, as well as visitors like us. The service is great - cheerful, friendly and very efficient. If you are in the area it is definitely worth a visit. Try the hamburger which is great!

Enjoyed a few hours here with friends. It has a nice and relaxed atmosphere with a variety of beers and other drinks. They also serve snacks. There are various sitting areas other than the bar. We also received a discount for staying at the Delta next door - part of the resort fee offers!

    Beers were pretty good
    Food was good
you get to pre-order your food and drink and it is then served to you, it is a little inconvenient.
the place was not crowded and they handled the COVID-19 great with signs and separation.
The service was quick and the staff was friendly

Dropped in to Highway 97 Brewery on our annual pilgrimage to Penticton. Usually are there in July and August but this year it was September. Love this place and had a wonderful soup and sandwich which was the special of the day plus of course beer. Roberta served us - and what an absolute riot she is. She made our day - especially mine when I commented that I loved her bling earrings. She took them off and handed them to me. I was, for once, speechless. I absolutely love them and have been wearing them ever since. This place is full of warmth, the food is outstanding, Roberta is wonderful AND dogs are allowed in. Fantastic. Just love that. We will be back next year for sure. June and Nelson

Olivia served our ciders today. As you can see by the image of the menu, they have a shed-load of different flavors on offer at this place. Upon first arriving on site, we saw a sign that read “patio is open.”
We didn’t know it, but once you walk through the doors of the large barn looking building, (that’s the production facility and tasting room) there is a patio on the other side.
There’s a huge chunk of lawn, where we saw games like cornhole, and other assorted games that it seems you could play.

Frankly, look at the pictures… This is quite a generous portion of tasty cider.
There is fantastic value here with the unCork BC Passport, or without it.
Some of our favorites were the sweeter varieties like sweet paradise, #2, the pear, with its natural pear flavors. It tasted sweet, although it wasn’t really. The wine barrel aged was a close favorite of mine, but the slushy style, whatever the heck they gave us was pretty Tasty.
We joked that next time we would come back and just ask for eight portions of the slushy for the two of us. :-)
Note: it was cider slushy that was on offering today
Overall, if you like cider, this is a must visit cidery. The portions are generous, and staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

What do you get when you combine a teacher, a doctor and a young inspired brew master all in an historic setting?? Welcome to Barn Owl Brewing Company!

Friends Tim Kramer and Gary Brucker unveiled their dream of a sustainable, community-focused craft brewery housed in the near century old Surtees family dairy barn in 2019. Merging the beauty of former Mission district countryside with modern touches this brewery is certainly the pulse of the neighborhood. Part coffee house, part brew house and completely unique and welcoming.

Ace-in-the-sleeve is bio Chem grad and former apprentice at an Island favourite Swans Brewery, Pub & Hotel Colin Pistawka who delivers a worldly palette of beers fit for novice to critic.

Perfect place for friends, date nights or special events like Chef Filatow of Waterfront Restaurant & Wine Bar hosting a beer paired dinner. 🏆🍺

Thank you Sarah and Vincent for the great suggestions and service! Great time!

Beautiful grounds, extremely friendly and helpful tasting. The added joy of feeding the llamas was awesome. We loved the vibe and the connections to other producers like the honey farm and lavender farm.

We first tasted the Peach Cream ale in a pub in Kelowna, but when we realized the brewery was in Penticton, where we were staying we decided we had to find it! The brewery is a bit hard to find but we called and a very kind lady lead us right to it. This is a no frills tasting room, it’s just about good beer! We ended up going for peach cream ale, but loved the coconut and killer bee too! So if you just like crafted beer, friendly people at the tap, and don’t need fancy surroundings then give this a try! We would go back!

We went on a winery hopping bike trip in Summerland and we stopped at Dominion. We liked most of their ciders! We bought a case and they held it for us overnight, and we went and picked it up in a car the next day. The service was great at the tasting. Prices were fair, too. We will be back.

We love this Summerland gem. Jonah & his team have grown this brewery into a welcoming & popular family oriented brew pub with a food truck, live music, wifi, merch & a delicious menu of beers. Tonight is movie night complete wth popcorn. Our pets are welcome too so we are very happy!

What do you get when you combine estate grown grain, a certified Beermiester, a family passionate about farm to glass beers and an historic railway?

Started with Scott and Nicole Brier looking to follow their dreams of adding to the award winning craft beer capital of Penticton. They purchased a beautiful 7 acre lot adjacent to the historic Kettle Valley Railway, designed the brewery, planted estate grown barley and hired friend and German-Certified Brewmaster Peter Schulz (born in and certified in Germany, apprenticed at Guinness and Weyermann Malting) and opened the doors this past year. With help of Manager Juliana and team you receive warm welcome, great service and authentic craft beer!

Even though we are in the heart of wine country, the Briers are proving the Okanagan to be a TRUE craft beer destination! Ales, lagers, saisons, porters… literally a style for everyone-from novice to critic!

Perfect for meeting friends, date night, après-snowshoe/ski/hike to quench your thirst or simply out to treat yourself it’s a “MUST VISIT”! 🏆🍺🇨🇦 🇩🇪
