Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Andrew LLeeds, UK70 contributionsHad a great time at Jackrabbits this morning with 5 family members age 14 to 79.
We were immediately made to feel welcome by the friendly team who briefed us on selecting an unpainted piece of pottery and how to achieve various paint effects by using the different brushes, sponges, stamps and other pieces of equipment. Also an excellent selection of drinks (milk shakes highly recommended), cakes and snacks.
The generous 2 hour slots are more than enough time to create amazing art works, which need firing to finish and which can be picked up 7 days later.
Can highly recommend this as a great social activity, being creative in a friendly setting while taking the opportunity to have a multi generational family conversation! Great fun.
Many thanks to the Jackrabbits team - we will be going again in future!Written 24 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Hours of relaxation and some “masterpieces” to take home at the end! Such friendly staff, great tuition and advice and potentially the start of a new hobby. Thoroughly enjoyed it. - Jennifer M1 contributionThis is an amazing place! We went today with 12 children from ages 1-4 years (we are a group of childminders) & the ladies couldn’t do enough for us, they kept all the children entertained with songs, dancing, props & toys, then all the kids decorated a beautiful Santa bauble, each one of them enjoyed painting, mixing colours & showing their works of art off to their friends.
It’s a lovely place for children’s parties or if you want to make something unique for a birthday or special occasion. I’ll recommended you without hesitation. Thanks for having us today, we’ve loved it!! XxWritten 12 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The work is of a high caliber and features many local artists! Prices allow for a wide range of budgets and Joss is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.Written 8 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - shortcake22Wakefield, UK645 contributionsI booked a taster pottery throw session on a Sunday with my daughter.
There was 7 in our group and there was plenty of parking outside on the road. We brought our own drinks and wore clothes we didn't mind getting clay on although we were provided with aprons.
The session was great fun, relaxing and guided well, we made 3/4 items each during the time and selected one to be glazed and picked up at a later date.
It was the right amount of time for a beginner, Me and my teenage daughter will be looking at returning to do future sessions.Written 12 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great choice of pottery items to paint and well priced. Relaxing atmosphere in the tiny shop. Good choice of paint colours. Good range of music playing. Very friendly host. The 2 hours allocated flew but we were all able to finish with a bit of time stretched at the end. Looking forward to collecting out items next week after firing.Written 16 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MusettechefLeeds, UK4 contributionsWe had seen that the Old Chapel were running tours via the Yorkshire Evening Post. Having known a little about its connection to Leeds band The Kaiser Chiefs I thought it would be interesting to visit. Having been to studios before I wondered what the Old |Chapel could offer & when the tour said it would be 2 hours long in all honesty I thought how will they fill that?. I needn't have worried.
Our host/guide Katie was superb in setting the scene about the history of the studio & a very interesting film was shown prior to touring the studio.
Katie's knowledge is superb & you could feel her passion about the building, bands & about the CIC.
We were split into 3 groups & taken into the different rehearsal rooms, studio etc. for a truly immersive experience.
Even if your not a musician you felt comfortable enough to get involved in having a bash on the drums or hitting a power chord on the guitar.
The memorabilia room was of particular interest & you get the sense of the music literally oozing from the walls.
There was a great chat about the possible future of the studio & how the public can get involved.
Definitely worth booking onto this tour which runs once a month & supporting this excellent organisation.Written 7 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
