What travellers are saying
- Mick KellyOssett, UK9 contributionsA wonder of architecture and a delight of an atmosphere the mosaics are an amazing sight to behold Lots of room to walk through the plaza with its inland waterways They are horse and carriage a plenty if you want to enjoy it that way They are plenty of places within the plaza to get some shade to get out of Seville's relentless sun You can see why the plaza was used in the Starwars film as it has a varied mix of cultures of architecture On my vist they were several groups of flamenco dancers and musicians which gave the plaza an amazing feelWritten 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SarahEngland, UK16 contributionsLoved it here - lots to see, gardens are beautiful. We entered as part of a guided tour of la giralda/the cathedral & the alcazar and were glad we did as we skipped the queues to get in, and they looked large. Thought you had to have a passport to enter but were told it could be any ID. Café closes at 5 and I guess so does entry but we weren’t kicked out at 5 and were still able to meander around. It was pretty empty at this time so consider a later afternoon visit if you want more of the place to yourself. Don’t miss the underground pool, accessed via the gardens.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 1991KEBNavarre, FL1,446 contributionsThe La Giralda was a powerful site to draw one into this Catherdal. The orange tree courtyard was so inviting. Now, the Catherdal was powerful. There was a baptism while we were there that was so touching.the high alter was so tall and almost intimidating. We were just blown away by the sheer size of this church. My favorite part was when an announcement came asking everyone to stop and pray. It was so touching.Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tfl1Cookham, UK310 contributionsA wonderful quiet neighborhood. Loads of little alley ways, and at every turn the almost overpowering smell of Orange blossom. And the food and wine were awesome. This is definitely the area to stay in!Written 14 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- RooombiterIsle of Wight, UK650 contributionsSeville is a perfect historic city to explore and the central area has so much to commend it.
The architecture is stunning, there is a relaxed vibe…nobody hassles you and you can take time to soak up all that Spanish goodness, even in the winter.Written 15 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Would recommend buying online beforehand and choosing your time slot. Ticket price is expensive for what you get (in my opinion) however does allow you to visit again at any time, so our first visit was at sunset/ for the light show and we visited again during the day and watched the ‘Feeling Sevilla’ show, which was sweet and killed 15 minutes but not worth it if you’re short on time. If you can only visit once I’d suggest it being at sunset/night however bear in mind it gets very busy and hard to find a viewing spot. Our time slot was 7:45pm (we went in a little early) and this was perfect for sunset/ the start of the light show.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andy C9 contributionsA good option if the Alcazar is too busy. A lovely house with mix of architecture- the €12 admission gives you access to the ground flier with an audio guide ( which is pretty good). Well worth a visit- probably takes an hour to do it justice.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Celine BChene-Bourg, Switzerland391 contributionsStumbled on this museum as I was walking the city at the start of my 5-day stay. Free to EU passport holders (and also super cheap for others). The staff was lovely (both at the entrance and inside). All bags need to be left in lockers. It was beautiful, super well maintained and super interesting. I highly recommend visiting this museum!Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RjessMMMVancouver, WA565 contributionsQuite a special place to visit and simply walk around. Our primary goal was to visit the numerous ceramic shops there and there were numerous to visit. We did end up buying some smaller pieces particularly Christmas ornaments and the prices were reasonable. There were numerous larger objects that we contemplated but just the thought of lugging them around for the rest of the trip gave us angina so we passed. We will without a doubt visit again the next time we are in the area. I would recommend getting there by taxi or Uber if you are over a mile away. We stayed near the train station and Uber worked wonderfully to get us exactly where we wanted to go. - Stefanie HLincoln, NE1,618 contributionsThe gardens at the Alcazar are not to be missed! They are beautiful, and the peacocks wandering around are a bonus. There is also a cafe and bathrooms on the edge of the gardens. Highly recommend!Written 11 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
