Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

    Ross is a wonderful host.

He taught me a lot of things about gin, its history, how to combine it with other beverages, and how to taste it.

The distilling-your-own-gin was amazing, he followed me step by step and, at the end, a full bottle of my own gin was tasted.

    Unique experience!

I found Mallorca Distillery on Instagram before our trip - the pictures had me interested enough that I looked up their website and saw we could do a "make your own gin" tour. The price looked a bit on the high side, but after doing the tour I can say it was worth every penny!

We took a cab out there and it is a bit hard to find - it's down the alley/access road in an commercial area. Once there we were quickly welcomed with a gin and tonic.

Byron took us on the first part of the tour, explaining the history of gin and what they do at their distillery. After we did the learning part of the tour we got to sit down with James, the head distiller, to learn what went into their gin, how different flavours (herbs, citrus, spices, etc) smell and how they taste as an alcohol. They even had this great little handout with the different flavours you were tasting. After that we got to work with James on picking out the flavours that spoke to us and making our own gin. You also got to take some of their gin home as part of the tour, and it was so delicious we ended up buying a few extra bottles to share with friends.

If you are looking for something different, and a different type of souvenir to bring home, I would highly recommend the "make your own gin" tour. The bottle is gorgeous and the story we now get to share with family and friends when we have company over to try some it so much fun!

Can Omxai - an olive oil manufacturer in Majorca/Cas Concos - exceptional in taste and traditionally produced, wholly organic! This Olive Oil estate of approx 7 hectres is worth a visit. The tour of the estate with Hans-Josef‘s explanation and insight into the harvesting, pressing and production of olives into oil was an experience of a lifetime. The sampling of the oil with culinary Tapas delicacies prepared by Martina was delicious. If you want to know what an extra virgin olive oil is all about …. Here‘s the place to visit. It was indeed an eye opener for me.
