Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for 2 hours and explored the very well preserved old town of Alcudia - in December it is really empty and most of the shops and restaurants are closed down - nevertheless, we did some local delicacy shoooing and had excellent lunch in downtown as well - most likely in summer too crowded - silent atmosphere in winter therefore still highly appreciated

Fornalutx (the light of the oven) is one of several beautiful villages in Mallorca's Tramuntanta and is best visited as part of a hike. There are quite a few possibilities around here, but a not too strenuous round walk of around 4 hours out of Soller can be very much recommended.

It goes from Soller to Binibaissi, then on to Fornalutx. Continuing from here one has great views of the whole village with its tiled roofs and traditional architecture and one can see how compact Fornalutx is. The hike goes on to the also attractive village of Biniaraix, then back to Soller via Binibaissi once more.

The whole area is full of citrus trees in the lower parts, especially beautiful, when I passed through in mid-December, while on the slopes of the surrounding hills there are many olive trees. When in Fornalutx one must walk through its cobblestoned and pedestrianised alleys and take a break at the central Plaza de España to fully enjoy its atmosphere.

This is a covered food market with lots of delicious food products to sell. It is located outside the old center, so a bit of a walk for those of us off of a cruise ship. And it has generated a lot of restaurants that rely on the produce inside for their kitches. You will find the restaurants outside the market. We did not have a kitchen that we needed to stock, but we bought a few tasty snacks. On the day we visited, there were a lot of shoppers - we went in the morning. Very lively and fun.
