Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- MrMrsHappyRLiverpool, UK1,223 contributionsBeautiful area of woodland and beach scrub. It is an hour's walk from Can Picafort. There are also public toilets at the visitor centre. There are also some ancient ruins along the beach with information signs.
Great area for Birdwatching. If you follow track 4, then look out for a sign with binoculars, there is a small hide which overlooks a freshwater pool where birds visit to drink.
Waiting quietly here for an hour saw Turtle Dove, Crossbill, Serin, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Linnet, Cetti's Warbler, Nightingale, Blackbird, Also at the scrub area near the beach, saw Thekla's Lark, Woodchat Shrike, Tawny Pipit, Stonechat, Sardinian Warbler, Audouin's Gull, Peregrine Falcon, Hoopoe, Cormorant.Written 22 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very interesting paintings and other exhibits depicting the history of Mallorca. The curator was very helpful and provided us with information to ensure we got the most out of our visit. It was also free entrance for senior citizens. After our visit to the museum we then went to see the Arab baths which are close by.Written 24 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TalampakanNairobi, Kenya418 contributionsThis place is easily overshadowed by the Rafa Nadal Sports Centre, but should not be missed.
The museum has literature in several languages in every room (e.g., English, French, German and Spanish), which was quite impressive given its relatively small size. There are lovely mosaics on the floor and activities for kids. The souvenir shop also has very interesting items.
Entrance is for free, but do consider making a donation. Take note of the hours and the fact that the museum is closed on Tuesdays.Written 25 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain11,524 contributionsMoli d'en Nofre is am old Majorcan windmill located in the little town of the center of the island called Montuiri. It is a well-conserved old windmill, where there is a little ethnographic museum kept by the owner of the building. The owner explained me the history of the museum and the family and it was very interesting. Despite this, the museum is little and it has few old things.Written 15 January 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MarcusHurleyCalne, UK9,563 contributionsThe Roman Museum was very good - it is quite small and we only spent about 15 minutes there but there were some lovely little artifacts although the explanations were only in Spanish. It is included in the €4 ticket for the Roman ruins of Pollentia.Written 11 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CharlieCBSwindon, UK820 contributionsWe visited the municipal museum which included the Chopin museum and the Palace of King Sancho.
The Chopin museum is not that large and the municipal museum has some nice spaces, with some interesting art and good stained glass windows in the church. We thought the King's palace was possibly the most interesting part. Especially as we were there for the Chopin recital.
The cost at €19 for the two of us is acceptable.Written 2 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. By the entrance is a board, giving some information in 5 languages (Catalan, Spanish, English, French, German) about the museum, founded in 1927 by local scholars. On the sign for the museum is depicted a 'Mars Balearicus', a for the Balearic Islands so typical bronze statuette from Phoenician or Roman times. Inside five such statuettes can be seen, of which four are copies.
In the three rooms of the museum's ground floor are the natural history exhibits, mainly a large ornithological collection, a gift by a local pharmacist, but there are other taxidermic creatures as well, like mammals, reptiles, molluscs and insects, but also fossils. All exhibits are from Mallorca, especially its eastern side.
On the second floor two rooms are dedicated to archaeology, coming from excavations at the nearby Talaiotic site of Ses Paisses, which for me had been the main reason to come to Artà . Other items are from the Punic and Roman culture. A smaller room houses the ethnological collection: tools, domestic utensils, textiles, musical instruments - all from the last centuries. Very typical are the basketry products from the European Fan Palm, the only native palm of the Balearic Islands, a handicraft for which Artà and its environs were well known.Written 30 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
