Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- EmmandeyeGlasgow165 contributionsEnjoyed the walk and the scenery, plants and so on.
Info boards have notes about plants, birds and an ancient settlement.
I expect it would be different and perhaps nicer in spring with more plants flowering, but it was good to see so many different ones nonetheless.
There are shady spots near the start of the walk in rocky areas, and again under some pines.
I'd like to know more about the history of agriculture and land management there - the amazing walls and the remnant terraces, for example. A map showing the ancient settlement would be interesting too!Written 10 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. However, due to recent damage from the February storms, some of the paths have been damaged, particularly towards Deia and you will need a permit to enter areas of the path which go through 'conservation protected areas.' As a solo female traveler, I recommend doing this hike with a tour group and if you start in Valldemossa, you can take advantage of the great bakeries open as early as 7am to get a freshly made sandwich for the picnic.Written 25 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alena S5 contributionsI went with my 3-year-old daughter, we went to Camp de Mar by bus, then walked up the hill to the tower and down to the beach Cala del Monje and to Pequera. Wonderful views! And a nice place for a refreshing swim. Just the hill down is very steep, keep that in mind! It was quite difficult from time to time, but we did it. Total around 5 km. We enjoyed it very much.Written 24 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- hornseagirlEast Riding of Yorkshire, UK83 contributionsI’d seen this walk on TripAdvisor and as we are 66 and 70 doubted whether we’d manage the whole 12km (7.5mile) return journey from our hotel on the far side of where the track starts in Peguera to Es Capdella, but thought we might manage half way. However the whole walk was even better than I anticipated and I managed to do the whole stretch from our hotel to Es Capdella and back.
The easy to find (see other reviews) man made stone path follows the main road but it keeps dipping onto the edge of the meadows and pine woods so you don’t really feel like you’re near the road at all. All wildflowers, birdsong and mountain views... glorious! There was also much more shade to walk in than I anticipated.
My partner managed just over half way and stopped at a shady seat to wait for me to go a bit further and just sat listening to the birds and watching the partridges pecking around near his feet. He could have gone back to the hotel to wait for me but he said it was so nice and peaceful he was quite happy just sitting there looking out across the meadows.Written 29 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Summit provides excellent panoramic views.
I would suggest you need to have a modicum of knowledge when you leave the clearly defined trail. So being able to spot the correct route, understand that shiny rocks are slippery. At the summit there is one edge with a sheer drop not the place for a selfie, all it would have taken was a strong gust of wind or an edge to crumble and that would be bye bye. I witnessed this fortunately the people in question actually realised and moved in.
You need to have reasonable fitness as it gets quite steep.
Minimum footwear running shoes (proper ones) to walking shoes /light weight mids would be perfect.
Also minimum 500ml water.
Be sensible and enjoy it.Written 9 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Sculptures and fountains dotted around, with a cafe for refreshment! - Joanna4153Derby, UK248 contributionsDone this several times and it is a favourite. Starting in the square in Soller, via Biniaraix, Fornalutz, Bini Bassi back to Soller. Restaurants & Cafes in Fornalutz. Fabulous views throughout. Bit of a plod up the road from Soller, but the views are great when you stop to catch your breath. Only noise is the song of birds and the tinkling of the sheep bells. Keep going up and up. There are small signs for Fornalutz and eventually you will see on on the left pointing down steps. Stick is advisable for the descent.Written 25 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- FeeSwanEastbourne, UK64 contributionsMagaluf is a teenage club 18-26 at its peak, drunk loud often nude... streets showing evidence of over indulging, vomit and pee on pavements...
Palmanova is beautiful but still very built up lots of traffic etc... lined with holiday tat shops but beach is pretty sea calm and blue.
The two places are not comparable but next door to each other.... same as here... nice road nice area walk round a corner and in the middle of a very underprivileged area and can feel instantly unsafe.
It's an insightful walk, one I think is good to see but great to leave behind.Written 1 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You start off outside the H10 Hotel, go to the top of the road, turn left, and go to the end where the walk will be signposted. The sign says 20 minutes, it took us 30. The track takes you through the trees and past the golf course on your left. Quite rough and undulating, rocky and fairly steep in places. The best place to leave the track is when you come to a large open car park on your left. Cross the car park to the road, turn left to the roundabout then right and the road downhill will take you to the "strip" in Peguera. Enjoy!Written 8 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Bee Anka J1 contributionI had a great time climbing with Pep! He took me to a couple different spots on the island, provided all the gear I needed and set up top ropes for me. I'm not an expert climber but the routes he showed me were perfect for my level (5.7-5.8 in the USA). Spanish lessons were an added bonus :)Written 11 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
