Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We loved wandering around here and just looking at all the foods. Everything looked just amazingly delicious (and we did sample a few things and they were great). The atmosphere of the market was a bit different than some others we have visited and there are many restaurants and cafes in the area which add to the visit. I would definitely be sure to stop here when you visit Bologna.

This little corner of Bologna is known as La Piccola Venezia, or “Little Venice'', on account of a canal passing under Porta Govese and Torresotto dei Piella. There was pretty much no water in the canal. So I guess the Venice allusions are aspirational. The dry canal sits between buildings painted in terracotta. Probably better to visit in the rainy season.

This is an east-west street north of Basilica di San Francesco in the western end of the city centre in Bologna. It is a casual street lined with simple eateries, bars and lots of street art which you can view on the business shutters and street walls as you stroll from one end to the other. Makes for a good opportunity to view street art if this is something of interest. Visit later in the day for a meal or drink.
