Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Jeffrey GPhoenix, AZ7 contributionsI own a Black Car Company in Phoenix, AZ (Southwest Sedan Service) so I went on-line to find a company in Italy that could tour us around the Amalfi Coast area. We agreed to a reasonable price and the chauffeur/tour guide met us at the train station in Salerno.
We were pleased with the MB Van they used, very comfortable and new, the tour guide spoke English very well and really knew the area. This was a great time and a must for anyone going to Italy to do.Written 4 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alice A1 contributionThis was our first time going to visit Italy, Bologna specifically, and we are so glad that we found Alessandro to take us around! He set up a 3 day plan for us, taking us around to all the major sites in Bologna and even getting us to do a food tour to prosciutto factory and a parmigiano reggiano factory, which ended with a delicious (huge) meal in a vineyard on the hills of Bologna, A MUST.
He was always on time and spoke great english so he was explaining the history and culture of the place, making our trip extra special. Not to mention his patience while he was taking us shopping in the city centre!
I would definitely recommend contacting him next time you're in town!
Thanks Alessandro!Written 20 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The microphones were poor quality so having to listen to the Italian version after each time she gave her speech in English, was annoying and also time wasting. When we asked in the office for the English tour we were told their website makes it clear that the tour will be in English and Italian. This wasn't clear and others we asked said the same. Saying that, the tour was a good price for the few places it took us as the entrance fee was included. However, overall I felt like I was on a school trip trying to avoid the teachers!Written 17 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Centre from airport, it’s very easy to use, just get a ticket from machines , it’s 6 euros per person and stop is just outside the exit at airport.Written 8 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The driver was very punctual, with an excellent car and very polite. I had a drive from Cento to Bologna Italy. The price was not cheap but I preferred to use Colombo Group after reading the excellent reviews because I didn't want any surprises on my way to the airport. I was able to find a cheaper ride but I prepared to go on the safe side and I was not disappointed. I totally recommend them! - Nisha NLondon, UK1 contributionI can’t comment for the entire company but we had this driver for pickup from bologna airport to the train station and we were beyond horrified by how poorly he treated our little kids and us. It started with him loudly shushing my 2 year old son who had started “singing” exactly 3 seconds ago. We thought he was joking so we chuckled while I was still nervously trying to distract him from continuing being a child. My 4 yr old son then had one foot on the seat (my bad for not realizing) as he was tired and with little legs dangling throughout the journey it’s almost a natural reaction. The driver then turns around and yanks his foot down and unfortunately at the very same minute my 2yo put his foot up (it was already close to being on the seat anyway as he’s that little and on my lap) and he immediately yanked his foot down too and wagged his finger at us saying “not on the seat”. I was starting to get furious but didn’t say anything and was busy trying to keep their feet down and mouth shut now. Obviously my 2yo senses that he’s being stopped from doing something so he starts “screaming” (mostly just being a child and as a parent I can say it wasn’t even bothering me as you know most little things do bother us since it’s constant) and the Grover turns around and loudly tells him to stop by waving his hands by his ear!!
My husband and I asked him what we could possibly do to stop a child as we are already trying. He then has the nerve to tell me that I’m a mother and should know how to make him stop by telling him “ssh”!! I told him he’s a taxi driver and should be a bit more tolerant and it’s was a short ride anyway so he should just let it be. He pulled the taxi over and asked us to leave as he can’t deal with the child! So we were left on the street with 3 bags and 2 little kids. He also refused to give us our bags until we paid. Which was ridiculous to us as there’s no way we would’ve been able to run away without paying. Without being impolite or cursing, we told him off by raising our voices but he used curse words. Passersby stopped to explain to him that he was dealing with a family and a really little child but he wasn’t listening. They all apologized to us and said we should just look for another taxi. I’d hate for any other family to experience this.Written 1 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
