Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Arhitecture and Christams decorations (2022) at the centre of town were fabulous, better than in UK, Germany, never seen anything like this.

Remember: all shops are closed during Christmas, if you are in hired apartment - there is nowhere to get food from; you can eat only in some Asian caffes somewhere at the outskirts of town. All restaurants, except 2 or 3 in the centre of town, are closed. Huge queues. There is not much to eat at Christmas food market.

Dont visit Milan during Christmas Eve & Boxing day otherwise you will starve. At least you pay for all inclusive hotel if such hotel exists in Milan and eat there. Or come before Chritmas Eve & Boxing day and stack yourself with food.
Be aware of problems at the late night time. Metro worked only until 22.00 and we had to walk home 1.5 hours. Police warned us to keep away from representatives of some nationalities which walk in groups of three. Not safe in very late time. Besides this experience was brilliant.

a local community market with butchers, ham, cheese, groceries, cake shops..etc.
prices are fair, but the market is not that big.
u might want to head over for something u have in mind, but if making a visit just to see the market might not worth.

If you wish to bring home some very good stuff, I will definitely recommend this place.
I loved the high quality of the products and went there twice. However, it is hard to find someone to help or suggest to you if you are looking for something specific. Juste ask to the casher...

We can't recommend a visit to Fratelli Bonvini Milano enough. We were visiting Milan for a workshop and heard of this beautiful store filled with all kinds of books, pens, calligraphy supplies and letterpress pieces and couldn't resist. The shop is the graphic designer's version of Olivanders from Harry Potter. Antique drawers filled with all kinds of unique stationary supplies and other amazing pieces. The staff in the shop are the nicest people as well, very welcoming and genuinely passionate about design and printing. The shop is very close by the the Prada museum and Bar Luca so it's an easy stop off on the way to those places as well!

Excellent selection of soft toys (seemed like every single animal was available) on the ground floor, plus two more levels, means there’s a wide selection here.
The place feels unique, & my daughter loved our visit.

Another nice shop in Via Brera.
Historic shop specializing in prints and globes, given the sign, it has been active since 1881.

A must-visit in Milan and the best solution to ill-fitting shirts for any budget. Plus, even if you can't make it to Milan now, you can order your own made-to-measure shirts through their website starting at only €55.- a shirt!

We arrived at 7.30pm on Wednesday without a booking and were able to get the last table available. So I would recommend booking!
Service was fast, wine was reasonable price for a bottle with a fantastic and extensive selection. Waitress had strong wine knowledge and absolutely met all my requests of what flavours I wanted in the wine.
I would recommend buying a bottle here so you have more options to choose from. The dishes coming out from the kitchen also looked of high quality. Really cool venue and a great experience for €22!

We were visiting Milan for the first time and wanted to bring back a unique souvenir of our trip. I saw information about Dexter online and was intrigued by the creativity of design . We went to the store interested in hearing about their pieces, but not certain we would make a purchase. Initially we spent time with one of the jewelers/designers and heard a lot about the meaning behind the design and how we could personalize the design to be meaningful to us. We ordered a custom ring for my husband which will be delivered in a few weeks. I purchased a set of stacking rings which they personalized and delivered to our hotel later that same day. Absolutely delighted. Beautiful and unique product, outstanding customer service and a wonderful experience. The perfect momento of a great time in Milano.

This is a place in Milan which is not well know by the most of milanese people; this could be because it is not in the city center (it's half an hour from city center; getting off at Romolo metro station take bus number 76, bus stop is via Tobagi/Via Guintellino). An antique brickyard which now hosts many artists studios. There's even a shop where you can buy artistic stuff (colours, tools...). Once a year (third weekend of May) you can visit the studios and all the fabrication dating back different centuries ago.

It was my first visit to Milan and enjoyed exploring the Duomo and Galleria area when I accidentally saw to my delight the Ferrari flagship boutique store. Its trendy and feels high fashion.
Two days prior to this I was at the Ferrari Museums in Maranello and Modena. The two Ferrari Museum stores are both below par compared to this Ferrari flagship store.
Federica, a friendly sales staff explained to me why its so different. I even admire her sales uniform and she allowed me to take photos. Her male colleague also allow me to take photos of his sales uniform. I also took several photos of the exterior and interior that I included in this review.
I should have given a five star of this review but due to the unfriendliness of one sales staff lady which prompted me to to lower my score.
She kind a profiled my wife and daughter as Asians and asked rude questions. My daughter felt intimidated and message me that she and her mom will leave the store. Sadly I was not able to buy at the store because of this :-(

Any photographers in need of inspiration, or searching for the perfect Christmas present, be sure to check out the second floor at Hoepli, or the photography exhibition space on the first!. With some of the most iconic photojournalists, documentary photo essays ever produced available, lose yourself for hours and be sure to ask Nino (the photo guy B-) ) for recommendations and requests!
