Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Connector50460702591Los Angeles, CA1 contributionWe walked from Via Veneto to the Vatican. On the way back we discovered the Treva Fountain
The restaurants are fabulous. From hamburger fast food to elegant restaurants the food can't be beat.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Boboli Gardens is also known as the ‘green lung’ of Florence. The impressive gardens are open everyday and will set you back about € 7,00.Written 28 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jason SMelbourne, Australia1,693 contributionsGallery is inside the palace, several museum with in too see and all are very interesting to see.
Museum is full of renaissance art work, but much more to see than so nice art, lots of statues, furniture and lots of other things to see with in the walls of the palace.
It’s up there in the better museums to see in Florence with out thousands of people.Written 5 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A very slow running fountain is at the center of the square.Written 25 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LostInTimePittsburgh, PA11,753 contributionsI only got to see the outside of the church as it closes at 5 and I got there at like 503. It’s a pretty immense building and the bell tower is very cool. It’s in a big square.Written 25 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CathyNewYorkCityNew York City72 contributionsThe collection of rocks and minerals is among the best of the many natural history museums I have visited. Pure art! Nature's art in a city of spectacular manmade art. The colors and shapes are riveting if you stop to take a look at the individual pieces. Just fascinating. Yet, a few tourists just stuck their head in from the doorway and never entered the room. If you like color and design you will spend a couple of hours here and be rewarded. Some Medici gems were on display. Rocks carved into functional works of art. The taxidermy was also fascinating and extensive. Didn't see the anatomical wax works. Was eager to return on my next visit to the city and sorely disappointed to find the museum closed for renovations. Visited April 2019. The drop down menu only goes to 2020 so I had to choose a 2020 date.Written 4 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Debbie DTurlock, CA232 contributionsYou know how when you go to a great museum sometimes you wish you could buy a ancient trinket? Well here's your chance. At least it's a chance to see how much an antique helmet or sword or gun would set you back. It's so great. Tiffany lamps? yes Beautiful china? Yes 2 stores run by great people. We'll go back. And we even bought something so it's not too outrageous.Written 18 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 130DougNavarre, FL1,233 contributionsWe had grabbed a quick meal somewhere nearby and just stumbled onto this place. Absolutely beautiful place that you shouldn't miss. It's a bit brighter in this cathedral than in some others. The smell of incense combined with the frescoes and paintings, and we could have stayed in here longer, but it's a big city that calls to every sense!Written 5 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Chef Vary taught us to make 3 different types of pasta with delicious sauces. We then ate a wonderful meal with the new friends we made. Vary is informative and funny. Would recommend to anyone looking for a small group experience.Written 13 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rwi302Mobile, AL58 contributionsHave toured with Barbara I think 5 times, with all adults and also with teenagers and she is hands down the best guide ever. Have sent several her way and they also have raved about her skills. She increases your efficiency and knowledge by a factor of at least 5. Would never think of going to Florence without seeing Barbara for new and hidden stuff.Written 18 February 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The fee was reasonable and entry easy.Written 16 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rob BFlorence, KY112 contributionsThis place is great, there are a few great bars and restaurants. It's south of the river and tucked away so there are not very many tourists here. We got a drink and sat on a bench to enjoy a beautiful evening. This is a great little square that locals love to you can get a glimpse of actual Florence instead of just the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and the art galleries. One of the best parts of our trip!Written 10 December 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
