Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The galleries path is well marked, and I appreciated the information in English! It is mostly sculptures and religious art. Definitely take time at the rooftop terrace for lunch. You have to make your appointment for entry ahead of time. It’s included with the Firenze card .

As the political heart of the Florentine Republic since the 14th century, Piazza della Signoria has been at the epicentre of many significant events in the city's history, from ceremonial events to festivals and rallies. After all, this square was the scene of the historic Bonfire of the Vanities instigated by the preacher Savonarola, who was then executed and burnt here in 1498 after he was denounced by Pope Alexander VI as a heretic. Several iconic Florence attractions made their homes right here at the square, including the Palazzo Vecchio, Loggia dei Lanzi, Neptune Fountain, replica statue of Michelangelo's "David", and Italy's top art museum, the Uffizi Gallery. With such a rich concentration of Florence's famous attractions, you can almost be guaranteed that this piazza will be constantly lively and buzzing with crowds. It is also relatively close to the riverside and the renowned Ponte Vecchio bridge, as well as conveniently linked to Piazza del Duomo through the shopping street, Via dei Calzaiuoli.

Nice spot to duck in out of the sun or rain and snap some photos. After that, it's easy on move on. Close to most of the well known sites.

I loved the museum and having a guide explain the various works of art and rooms made all of the difference. Seeing all the different crests and the gold ceilings was amazing.

As the Roman god of freshwater and the sea, it is little wonder that there is a fountain named after Neptune in several other major Italian cities, Florence included. The tribute is understandable in Florence, as Neptune's dominion over the seas symbolizes the power of Cosimo de' Medici, who is responsible for establishing the Medici family as effective rulers of Florence during much of the Italian Renaissance, thereby alluding to Florence's rule of the seas. Located at the centre of Piazza della Signoria, it is hard to miss this glorious fountain dating back to the 16th century, although it does get over-shadowed, literally and figuratively, by the imposing Palazzo Vecchio and neighbouring replica of the statue of David. This quintessential fountain is not merely the typical must-have at a busy European piazza, but in the case of Florence, it also represents the historic legacy of the Medici family for the city in celebration of its Renaissance Movement.

I took a tour of Vecchio Palace. Our guide explained the history of the site and what happened to the owner who lost his wealth. The city of Florence now owns it and uses it today for public offices.

Nice, just put your hand on it and have a picture taken. It is, indeed, a beautiful bronze statue, and maybe this way even a wild boar might become attractive?

This is a very nice old church. There is a crypt ad well. The church has amazing artwork. I’m unsure of it’s age but I’d guess that it’s over 500 years old. It was quite interesting to see.

The store is very beautiful, and the various exhibitions are also very beautiful. Unfortunately, we felt that when we were there, there was too little focus on the history of Gucci's collections and more focus on cool effects. Still, I think it's worth a visit!
The staff and security were very friendly.

We purchased tickets online because they are timed. We were able to pick an early morning slot. We purchased the tower only. We loved this place. In the morning there were very few people. The steps are doable because they are broken up into sections so you can stop if you need a breather. It is open air so you don't feel claustrophobic. The views are amazing. I would definitely put this one on your morning to do list.

This is another statue of the collection of Loggia dei Lanzi at the Piazza della Signoria, located near the Uffizi gallery.

This was such a beautiful place to wander around and window shop. We weren't inclined to go inside the shops as they were mostly very high end / designer! At night it was absolutely magical, lit with beautiful Christmas lights.

Everyone who appreciate these great artist Franco Zeffirelli must visit these museum. It's filled with lot of his personal belongings, such as trophies, photos, costumes, his sketches for operas and films scenery and even bozzetti. There is also a room exactly how il Maestro study was accurate in every detail. There is also a big hall dedicated to Dante that one must not miss because it's also a big surprise of creativity. The price is really cheap to see such a detailed Museum.
