A beautiful beach, which is relaxing. The sea was fairly choppy and no one was in it, which I was told is usual for Mytros Beach. I managed to have a quick swim, but came straight back in due to the strong undercurrent and I am a strong swimmer, so please be weary of it.

There is a cafe, toilets and a lifeguard on duty at the beach.

You are no longer allowed to go into the cave at the fair end of the beach, due to falling rocks.

There are view points of the beach up at the top of the cliff, at both sides, which provide a fantastic view of the beach.

100% recommend, such a beautiful beach!

We rented a car and drove from Lassi to the caves - the drive was an easy drive of around 45 mins. We each paid our €8 entrance fee and made our way immediately to the waiting boat. The trip on the rowing boat was about 12 mins - a fairly impressive cave, with very clear water. Lots of photo opportunities - tips were expected.

Assos is simply beautiful.I don't know if it was a quiet time of year but it was so serene and peaceful after the hustle and bustle of Argostoli for example. We ate at an open air restaurant just at the edge of the beach on the right hand side. The food was really tasty and the service excellent. We met folk of all nationalities and got chatting away - it was great - everybody was so happy to be there I think!
There is a small beach and you can swim in the crystal blue sea until your heart and soul is content. There were several stray cats and kittens trying their paws at fishing which was very entertaining to watch. There were just 2 small clothes/gift shops open, selling really good quality products.
You can take a lovely (uphill) walk to the fort and explore more of the area (I didn't as pal has mobility issues).
Overall the small village is quaint and very real true Greek.
We travelled from Argostoli by bus, stopping at around one hour to hop on to a minibus to take us down to Assos. Quite a hairy ride around the many, many hairpin bends and hundreds of feet falling away below us! The driver kindly stopped at Mrytos Beach for us all to take great photos and have a good look, beautiful indeed!
I haven't uploaded any photos as the pics on line are exactly what Assos is...stunning

This was a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with working beehives in a safe and very educational way. The beekeepers were extremely knowledgeable and respectful of the bees and their produce, showing you how they harvest the honey etc and also how they look after them in the colder months. Highly recommended experience when visiting Cephalonia 🐝🐝🐝

Stunning sand and SHINGLE beach. The sea was warm and as clear as crystal you needn’t really need a snorkel because you could see to the bottom, even when the sea went a little deeper.
It was tricky getting in or out unless you had sea shoes because of the shingle. I would advise you get these before you leave and they are quite expensive in Skala.
Approx €10 for 2 beds; you can stay for as long as you like.
There are a few nice restaurants on the beachfront too.
I can’t wait to go back.

A beautiful beach not far from Fiskardo. It was our favourite on the island. The downside is it’s pebbles so bring appropriate footwear, the upside is it’s not thronging with sun loungers like other beaches on the island

Amazing beach. Approx 500m of golden sand backed by trees and clear blue water. Plenty of sand to lie on - ignore the absurdly priced Costa Costa beds that seem to cater to the cruise liner market - you can still use the showers & loos. When the wind is up & in right direction their are brilliant waves which are perfect for adrenaline heavy body-surfing. Loved it - much better than Myrtos!

Nice scenic walk with the family. There are plenty of cafes and bars along the road and you may be lucky enough to see the rare turtles swimming nearby.
