Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The statue and the museum are 5 stars. Everything else about this island needs improvement. Do not go to the cafe to eat. It's far too crowded and filled with pigeons that sneak in and buzz by your head trying to get at your food. The birds on this island are aggressive, so avoid bringing food if you can.

Just being there brought tears to my eyes, the lives that were lost. The boat ride over the Arizona Memorial was beautiful to see.
I remember Elvis Presley was instrumental in donating the monies he received from his concert in 1959, to go toward the building of this Memoria.

The Lincoln memorial is undergoing renovations and construction of the Lincoln memorial museum which are supposed to be completed in 2026. Some of the views will be obstructed.

When I first viewed "the Bean", correctly named Cloud Gate, 15 years ago, I was underwhelmed and didn't understand all the fuss. Over time, I have learned to appreciate this public work of art. The reflective nature of the artwork is quite beautiful and the concave chamber inside that multiplies reflections is really cool. The much-photographed piece of art has now become an iconic part of Chicago. It, Millennium Park and adjacent Grant Park with its Buckingham Fountain is well worth seeing during a visit to Chicago. My only negative comment is that it is always mobbed with visitors which detracts from the experience. I suppose it could be fun to be part of the excitement when it is busy, but I would try to visit very early in the morning especially if you want to get some good photos. Even though it is all the good things I describe above, it really doesn't deserve the amount of attention that it ends up getting.

I didn't know what to expect, but what I did see was an amazing feat of architectural engineering especially for the time period when it was built. The arch is gigantic beautiful and quite Majestic. If you visit St Louis it's not like you can't miss it but I definitely recommend getting the close-up view at the park.

When I first heard what design had been selected for this memorial, I thought it grossly inartistic and unworthy of what was to be memorialized. When I saw it in person , I realized how wrong I was. This is utterly compelling and a must stop for DC visitors.

For me, this is the ultimate war memorial. While uniformly gray, the Pancho clad statues slogging through the field have a compelling life to them. Pro tip: try to go at dusk for maximum effect. One of my visits was on a very foggy evening, which was positively overwhelming.

An informative, reverent tribute to the victims of a senseless tragedy. Very well-organized. We arrived late, so had to hustle through in a little over an hour. I’d say two hours would be an appropriate allotment of time to properly experience this museum.

This was a fun and interesting place to go. We liked watching the demonstration for cannon firing. I also liked that we got to renew our national parks pass and that the fee for the park pass for the year covered all 4 of us! Thanks! We love national parks

This was my first time visiting DC. I was visiting my son who was recovering from an injury during deployment. We took advantage of this opportunity and explored DC. Fantastic monument to see. I am not a fan of heights, so I didn't go up, but everything around it was incredible.

Everything about this varied and detailed memorial is well thought out and not only appropriate to commemorating the conflict, but also the generation and their position in the broader base of the historical period. The layout, architecture, and display take the visitor to the 1940s while providing place and peace for reflection.

This is a pretty cool memorial. It's one of the more underrated memorials. Sadly, the entire outside is under construction, and the elevator is out of service. But still lovely inside definitely coming back.

This memorial is unique and beautiful. It's not like the other memorials, yet it's one of the best. It's an educational memorial showing about FDR. It's definitely a must-see. Coming back.

What a beautiful National Monument! We enjoyed the film on the migration patterns of the gray whales. We walked up to see the lighthouse and the views from up there, which were as lovely as we expected. We loved the coastal trail and the tide pools. Cabrillo was an absolutely gorgeous place to spend a few hours in the morning—we’re just a little bummed that in the few hours we were there we didn’t spot any gray whales off the coast as we’d hoped.
