Hands down an excellent Zoo with amazing exhibits! We purchased the 2-Day Zoo pass to make sure we had ample time to see everything. Collectively, we spent 5-6 hours walking through and enjoying the animals. One thing we all enjoyed was the variety of habitats and we saw some animals never seen before. We do make it a point to visit zoos whenever we travel and we would not hesitate to return here!
This aquarium truly makes you appreciate the life in the waters of the earth. Very kind personnel, amazing exhibits, easy to navigate, very informative, and clean establishment. Dolphin show was spectacular but don’t sit in the closet 10 rows or you could get wet. Ocean Voyager has the largest sea life and the biggest variety of sea life in one tank at the aquarium and the largest viewing window. Was worth every cent of $50/person that we spent with our fam of 5. We even stopped for a snack halfway through our day at the indoor café.
This was a bucket list item and at $60 per adult, I gasped a bit, but it was totally worth it. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. Remember to purchase your tickets in advance. Don't forget to go outside and see the views from the patio. I really enjoyed seeing all the exhibits, especially Dory and friends.
Such a fun experience! You could tell how much our guide Jeremy loved and appreciated the animals. The animals look well cared for and the enclosures were meticulously maintained. Got to hold a Kinkajou, snakes, and an alligator. Husband got to hold a tarantula, which was a big NOPE for me (lol).
This zoo was absolutely fantastic! The enclosures are large, and the animals are well cared for. The penguin area, though, is amazing!! There were several places to dine, and between them all, they had a nice selection. Ask for extra crispy fries or they will floppy and not crispy.
We had a great time at the zoo even though it wasn't fully open yet. It was jam packed and a lot of walking. They had strollers and wagons for rent that are reasonably priced. I would recommend going later in the season to get the full experience. Take your own food and drinks to save money and there are many places to picnic, and the lines are long at the eateries which are kind of pricey.
This is a beautiful area. We had so much to see we ended up going several days. The spring flowers were beautiful. The zoo was nice and I especially enjoyed the aviary area.
What a great experience. Better than a zoo because we were within feet of gorgeous animals who were getting a second chance. Great for kids too; the guide through the park captivated us with facts and anecdotes about each animal and species. A must see for anyone visiting St Augustine.
Very clean, staff was all nice & helpful. Animal enclosures are designed in such a way that you get very close to all of the wildlife, & yet animals still seem to have sufficient space. I’ve never been so close to so many wild animals. All of the additional experiences are priced really affordably. There’s a small playground at the top of the lift that my kids enjoyed. Food at the grizzly was really good- we had bison burgers and kids had hot dogs. Nice selection of alcoholic beverages & a play area right outside. There did seem to be a lot of construction going on & a few exhibits closed, but didn’t take away from our good experience. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
This is a great FREE zoo in Lincoln park . The food , snacks , and parking are expensive . Bring your own food and drink and take Convienent public transportation. Nearby north pond with birds , Peggy Notebaart nature museum , and free Caldwell lily ponds . There are all sorts of gardens and green areas nearby.
Three generations loved our visit to the National Aquarium. Easy access for all with stairs, escalators, elevators, ramps and moving sidewalks. You will need to check your stroller if you bring one. We went mid week and the crowds weren't too bad. It was a homeschooling day so there were many children but that also meant there were extra personnel with tables set up for information. The touch pools were closed (remodeling, I think) but everything else was open. The sharks and jellyfish were natural favorites but don't discount the Australian section or the Amazonian Rain forest. Dolphins are available to see however they do not do "shows" anymore. The cafes are priced as expected in tourist areas. They have a gift shop. I was told to save my tickets (corporate event tickets) to use for discounts but they do not have a military/veteran discount.
