Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a hidden gem of a ski area and SnowMonkey made it even more wonderful. I am an experienced snowboarder. My instructor was Tereza, just a brilliant boarder! She knew all my classic mistakes after a single slope and then Tereza proceeded to teach me skills to help get rid of those bad habits. By the end of just two days, my posture, my carving, and my jump preparation was better. With the bonus that she added a few more tricks to my score card - tail press 180 switch, boardslides on level boxes and rainbows, layback tail press and so much more. For my toddler son, Jenda was his instructor. My son had done one week in France last year and was not happy about going skiing again, and could not ski alone yet. With Jenda, in two days he was skiing alone and just about completing turns on blue runs and just loving skiing! He would say 'cummon let's go! You are taking too long!' What a wonderful experience for us both. I am so happy with our holiday.

The walking is easy, although it might be more difficult with a stroller. If you do not have a lot of time there is a car park near the falls. It is even possible to go on a tourist 'train'.

It is a good skiing resort with decent slopes. If you travel regularly to the Alps, you will find this one really busy and not offering so many possibilities to make your skiing variable. Biggest issue is the waiting time for chairlift. In busy weekends and weeks you can easily wait 20-25 minutes for a ride. Ski pass is not cheap either. Service and quality of the bars, toilets and other amenities is very high, however having a few drinks at the bottom of the slope is definitely not for the budget traveller. There is also a little less developed skiing "behaviour" of a "culture" which I trust is somewhat connected to the long waiting for a ride, you can sense some sort of frustration instead of the typical fun and joy of skiing in larger alpine resorts.

A small water reservoir with a dam, on the outside of which there is a zip-line and some roping adventures. Nice walk around the reservoir possible.

Nice little pot with a little stream of water, that would later form one of Europeè biggest rivers. Nice walkways between the cable car (Medvedin) or the bus stop from Horni Misecky (ending at Vrbatova Bouda). Spectacular views over other mountains. Nice collections of mosaics of the coats of arms of the cities alongside the river Elbe from source to mouth.

Skiareal offers nice prepared skiroutes of different levels blue, red nad black. Parking lot adapted to the needs. Pay cards accepted - really comfortable. No queing. Snowboarders are allowed. Separate area for kids for learning. Ski and snowboard lessons available on site - extra fee. When on the top you can move to another part of the skiareal and just see the skijumping area (flying hill), which is a kind of attraction. Various fast food booths open just next to the ski-lift entry and on the top - snacks, fries, paninni, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bombardino (winter season). For advanced it can be not enough challanging.

It is a very nice ski area for families with small childeren or teens. It's good for beginners and more advanced skiers. Lot of red slopes, one black (that is actualy a red... in standards of Autria). There is a kids area for learning with pancake lifts and a roller lift. There is a nice (small) resto on top of the kidsarea. Good food.

We have visited countless bike parks, from cross country to downhill, with this being by far the worst. There is only one trail that can be described as a bike trail. This is ok for the top half, but is badly maintained and is not enjoyable lower down (braking bumps are horrendous). The lift opens on the hour and every half hour. This is tedious, as we arrived at 2 minutes past the hour to find it already closed. If there are not many people waiting it closes when they clear the queue. All the other bike parks we have visited in the Czech Republic have been 5 star, so this has surprised us how bad it is.

Really touristick walk, little bit heavy as you walk on the stones and you need to climb / or descent from or to Labská Bouda. But the river, the rocks and forrests you can see during the trip are excellent. There are also panels with information about river and the glaciers in the history.

The pic of this waterfall is allover Splindleruv Mlyn and it’s awesome so I really insisted to go. We have children, one of which very small but the way to get there is not strollers’ friendly so we rented one of those backpack to carry kids from the YellowPoint in the city center. We drove to the city closest to waterfall (40min drive from Splindleruv Mlyn) and took the bus. The bus passes every 30min and you can pay the tkt directly on board. There’s always quite a line and now, during Covid, we were the only ones wearing a mask.
The waterfall is 1/1.5km from where the bus stops. The walk is nice, view is amazing. There’s a lot of people so sometimes kids might run and get lost in crowd.
We finally reach the waterfall, which nice but way below expectations and the view area is always packed so even when you make it, you have people all around or waiting for you to be done.
I honestly don’t think it is worth the effort with little kids. Alone, couple or with teenagers, can be a nice extra.
