Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If glass is your thing, there are beautiful pieces here. A 10-15 minute uphill walk from the Dogo Onsen brings you this museum, in a peacful garden. The exhibits are interesting, and the gift shop has a view surprising pieces too.

I didn't know much about Itami Juzo before visiting but came away quite interested and wanting to watch all of his movies. The museum is well set out and very fresh and modern. Not a huge amount in English but still worth a visit.

The place is quite small but the exhibits are nice. Worth to have a look if you are staying in a hotel nearby. The environment with a cafe outside is very pleasant.

This museum teaches visitors about the traditional method of making Iyo-Kasuri (splash pattern cotton). This is a traditional art from the Matsuyama area dating back about 200 years. Apart from the interesting exhibits, visitors can also learn how to dye cloth. This is definately "hands on".
The museum is worth a visit but probably missed by people due to its out of the way location. If you use the tram, get of at Komachi Station and change to train which will cost 150 yen each way. Get off at the stop near the cloth museum. from there it is about a 10 or 15 minute walk. Entrance to the museum is 50 yen.

Interesting concept, siting a "museum" in the back corner of a Starbucks, At least you can take in the static display of a very photogenic locomotive whilst enjoying a Latte! For many years an original Botchan Ressha locomotive plus one of the 4-wheeled carriages was on display outdoors under a shelter in Baishinji Park. I don't know whether this would be the 'original', but such a pristine condition suggests that it has never spent a day outdoors and therefore may in fact be merely a replica.
The lack of any information in English does not help in establishing the provenance of this exhibit or indeed explain any of the other exhibits. Nevertheless, it is a nice little display and pleasant surroundings to take a break.
