฿40 to park a car and ฿200 for non-Thai. Pleasant staff and the trail is in really good condition. The whole trail is shaded and only opens up at the waterfall itself. Not too busy but not empty around 13:00 and the fall is still worth seeing in the Dry Season. 40 minutes from car park to fall if you stop at viewpoints and take photos, 20 minutes if you don’t stop. Advisable to wear shoes as although the trail is fairly easy, there are parts that are momentarily steep or require proper footholds.

We came here 20 months ago and the sand was infested with flies! Having recovered from covid and more people about the flies have virtually disappeared. The sand is soft and the sea is clear making it more attractive for the tourists.

Nice white sand beach that is the most popular area on Ko Chang. Can be crowded on holidays and peak season, but not ridiculously so.

Mu Ko Change National Park is a marine park encompassing many small islands nearby Ko Chang and much of the main island as well. Ko Chang itself is still largely covered with forests and the view combining lush green forests and the sparkling blue waters surrounding the island is spectacular!

Very attractive beach area, although a bit rocky in some places. The sunset views are spectacular. The Kai Bae beach area has some great upscale resorts as well of marvelous small boutique places offering great value.

long pier to walk to reach few local shops with common souvenirs. We stopped here on our trip around neighboring islands. Few small local restaurants with not really cheap food. Okay for a few hours hang around.

Beautiful long beach surrounded by shadowrich trees. The only restaurant/bar is serving good food but we had the impression that it was faded glory with older hippies as regular customers. But we only visited the beach once. We were surprised to see a public shower by the restaurant! Good to wash the salt away

Beautiful island within a National Park.
Ss most people we joined a large boat and travelled the 1 hour from Bang Bao on Koh Chang.
The only thing. that spoilt the beauty and tranquility was the hoard of life-jacketed tourists, almost entirely Thai. It was literally like an ant's nest in the water.
On a plus side I was pleased to note how healthy the corals were.
Worth a visit inspite of rent-a-crowd laden boats.

It's interesting reading other reviews that say this snorkeling was much better before, that the local marine life is being devastated by some input that they couldn't be clear on, maybe pollution or trash or maybe something else. After visiting different places on the mainland and main islands (Samui and Phuket, in addition to Hua Hin, Krabi, and others) it was nice to take a tour of small local islands from Koh Chang and see this island and places with any fish and coral. That's the thing though; if it's not as much of a thriving underwater ecosystem as it had been 5 years ago then something is kind of wrong.

Since I've only seen it once I have to go on that; it was nothing like when we lived in Hawaii but you could actually snorkel here, there were fish and coral. The sand on the beach was finer and cleaner than I've seen anywhere else in Thailand, maybe only equivalent in some places in Koh Chang. It's not as if I've seen any of the other smaller islands though, to be clear; we've had very young kids for awhile and they're only now able to swim well enough to do this kind of tour, although they weren't with us on this particular trip.

It's getting to be a tangent but I've read that the Great Barrier reef in Australia is suffering from a massive coral die-off due to a shift in water temperature; an ecosystem disruption could be caused by something like that. If that's it there would really be no way to fix it. It seems likely that some plastic bottles around wouldn't necessarily kill off all the fish and that something else like that might be a cause, but of course I don't know.

Lovely Wat among many many visited in Thailand (and Cambodia and Vietnam). In the middle of nowhere off the main road on east coast.
