Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a very tiny museum showing the only pre WW_II houses in the village together with a lot of other local Sámi artifacts. If you're into the local culture, go there.

Not the biggest or most spectacular waterfall, but nice and worth the travel if you like nature and need a pit stop. A bit difficult to get a nice photo angle - or maybe I didn't try hard enough.. The road stop located on the other side of the river is nice for a picnic if the mosquitoes are not too intense.

Nice place to see. Nice people telling the story to those interested. Jewellery both on display and for sale. Small café and cute sheep.

Staying on a camground with our camper in this little village, we wanted to visit this Sami church, we heard a lo about it.
But, this church was closed, so we could'nt get in, it's a pity.
From the outside it's really wonderfull to see.
Well, I had also read a lot about the Sami grave-yard among this church, we could take a look overhere. Lots od people ate burries here, it's a special place to me, people of all ages are buried here, it's a historical and well done place.

I spent 8 days solo traveling in Norway and these 4 days with Nils were the highlight of the trip. This experience is unlike anything I have ever, or will ever, experience. If you're looking for a tourist experience that is easy and relaxing, this is not that. But I would hope that everyone is adventurous enough to come here! It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my entire life.

Nils was the most incredible host. He is kind, generous, accommodating, and introduces you to all of the parts of his culture. I'm a professional musician, so my favorite part was when he sang Joiks for me and even taught me to sing some of them. Learning about his culture's music was incredible.

He also showed me all of the sides of what reindeer herding looks like. Because I was the only guest there, it was only Nils and me for the 4 days. So he gave me my own snowmobile to use and we went and moved the herd together on my final morning. We saw a large portion of his herd. They are truly majestic animals. Getting to see them in the wild is so special.

The food and accommodation is great. (But don't expect to be staying in usual tourist accommodations like a hotel). You are truly off the grid. There's no running water, you use an outhouse, and eat how the Sami eat! It was my first time eating reindeer and we ate a lot of it. Nils even invited me to try a Sami delicacy, Reindeer eye.

This trip was everything I wanted it to be and more. It put me out of my comfort zone, it taught me things about myself, and it expanded my worldview in seeing how Nils and the Sami live. This is not a voyeuristic experience. We do not come to watch from afar. In this experience, you live alongside Nils and participate in everything he does. I felt a deep sense of respect for how Nils interacts with the world and his reindeer. So get ready to work hard and experience a part of the world that very few people get to see. Can't recommend highly enough!! Thank you Nils and Visit Natives!

This place is a shop, but a rare one. It is a shop for the Sami people where they can come and buy goods to keep up with their cultural heritage, typically to create hand crafted items, called 'duodji'.

Here you can find such items as lasso ropes by the meter for both warm and cold days, sami flags, everything you need to make Sami clothing 'kofte', leather to make hand crafted items, Sami gift items, books on how to make duodji etc.

Most of all it is a window into a modern, living, Sami culture that museums cannot offer you. I met a lot of friendly, easy to talk to locals, telling me about their hobby duodji.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the experience! Great to see the raindeer up close, feed them and enjoy a comfortable trip in a sled. We got great information about their way of life and culture, lovely biđos (traditional Sami meal) and joik (Sami singing). Great time also for us being Norwegians. The Sami guides did a great job and really added to the whole experience! Great trip for small kids, families and everybody that wants an exotic Norwegian experience!
