Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having walked to the end of the pier you want the best views, right? Well you've got 3 ways to do it; either A - Bungee Jump, B - Zipline or C - Take the wheel. In the windy off-season with young kids and elderly grandparents, there really is only one option! Its quite expensive - not London Eye level but still quite high for what you actually get. 5 rotations of the wheel which is over quite quickly. You can pay for VIP packages and get drinks/champagne/nibbles as you go round but these were crazy money. If you want to make a romantic gesture, pop to the local Albert Heijn first and pick up a couple of cans and put them in your coat pocket first - much easier, cheaper and if you have to chug them at the end, doesn't feel like such a waste!

So it was end of September when I visited so not too many people about. However, it was still nice to walk out on the Pier to view the sea, the beach and the ferris wheel. Lots of places to eat and drink. Imagine it gets very busy during the summer months. Tram # 1 will take you there from the city and I got off at the Kurhaus stop.

If you know why she is standing there it could depress you. A lot of men died during their work on the sea and this Fisherman's Wife is symbol of all the losses. I explained to my kids what the meaning is of the statue. Interesting to see how they react

Beautiful view of the North Sea, it is especially beautiful to see the sunset during the summer evenings. Also the view can be enjoyed from many restaurants, the pier or from the beach.

Another memorial to Willem I, Prince of Orange which stands at the Scheveningen Beach, simply but tall!
