Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Donald C1 contributionGreat experience with Wilmer from Nena Lodge & Tours. Went first to his family farm where he showed plants. Then on to Indio Maíz, entering at Bartola. The 2.5 km hike was great. Wilmer took time to point out many plants and animals, speaking slowly in Spanish. After the hike we swam and relaxed at the beach on a tributary of the Río San Juan. Great experience and fair price.Written 17 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Gemma P16 contributionsWe were two couples, one Italian and one mixed, a German guy and a Dutch girl. We took the whole day tour and were accompanied by Edwin and Danis. Edwin speaks fluent English. We had a nice walk through the Bartola natural reserve where we could admire different species of monkeys, frogs and plants. Edwin explained us the biological features of those specimens. The tour on the Rio San Juan was fascinating and we relaxed on its shores enjoying the excellent food just cooked on the spot by Edwin and Danis.
Also the Caimans tour at the end of the day, at dark hours, was very nice and we were surprised by Danis' ability to spot such animals.
We recommend this tour.Written 18 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
