Amazing wine cellar in downtown Neive. Historical building and wine cellar underground, pleasing owner, high quality wines, great wine tasting.

Neive’s historic center maintains a medieval layout, composed of cobblestone streets that ascend towards the Clock Tower and elegant terracotta palaces. Neive is also a sought-after destination for visits to its wineries, often housed in stately homes like the 18th-century Palazzo dei Conti di Castelborgo. There are four types of wines produced in the Neive hills: Barbera and Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbaresco, and Moscato d’Asti.”

Valeria Mano was so gracious with her time and so knowledgeable. She helped me book a local osteria from Australia several months ago when a site I thought was the restaurant, turned out to be Francone winery. We then arranged to visit, and we had an amazing couple of hours here. Such a wonderful family business (now 5th generation) producing so many varieties of wines of such great quality.
We couldn’t have spent a better morning thanks to Valeria and Francone Cantina. Would highly recommend a visit in this stunning part of Italy. I have toured wineries often before but have never learned so much !!

I really do not why but in this area there are a lot of big benches of different colours. It is a nice piece of art in the wineyards and a good way to keep the young kids occupied while the adults are interested in the wine. The landscape is just breathtaking

The Medieval Clocktower is the Village's Landmark; it cannot be missed from anywhere in Neive. It stands well above all buildings and also from afar as you approach this charming commune.

Leslie is the Travel Langhe expert, along with her husband Robert. She is a most accomplished acrylic artist in the impressionist style. Our trip, booked with three days of Travel Langhe Tours, took us to her country home in Neive where her fabulous wine-art is on display. What a pleasant addition to our travels in the Langhe.

This church was built in the second half of the eighteenth century by the architect Antonio Borgese. It is now used by the local Orthodox community.

It has a rustic brick façade with dome and the bell tower.

Inside there is a renaissance-style organ and an eighteenth-century painting of San Michele which is striking for the liveliness of the colors.

The processional statue of the Archangel, also from the 18th century, is in polychrome wood.
