Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Tomi WickmanHelsinki, Finland2,198 contributionsA true gem in the Finnish nature: double falls! Above a historical mill (not open to visit) and a bbq place if you bring your own wood. Parking place good for campers.Written 12 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- mmikkoJoensuu, Finland1,655 contributionsNice waterfall. The waterfall is divided at two falls, another one is man made. It is about six meters high. You can see fall at top and down. There are stairs down. About 200m walking from parking lot. Parking is free, no entrance fee.Written 22 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JohlilHelsinki, Finland19 contributionsSaunaworld offers some nice saunas to experience and a small therapy and kids pool to relax in. Unfortunately not all saunas were open, and are only heated on Saturdays, which means we missed out on some of the more unusual saunas. They also close a bit too early, not leaving enough time for a full day at the slopes followed by a couple of hours at the saunaworld. There's a chance to go iceswimming which is nice!Written 11 April 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JohlilHelsinki, Finland19 contributionsUkkohalla is a beautiful place with nice easy slopes for skiing, plenty of cross-country skiing tracks and opportunities to rent snowmobiles. Very quiet, not a lot of visitors and mostly middle-aged couples. If you're looking for after-ski this is definitely not the place, but if you want to enjoy the quiet nature and relax, you are spot on! A small shop exists with essentials, there's one ski restaurant and bar and a nice saunaworld after a day out in the snow. Nearby Paljakka and Vuokatti offer more demanding slopes within an hours drive from Ukkohalla. This place hasn't reached its full potential yet, and could put a bit more effort on services but it's a great option instead of the busy buzzing Lapland.Written 11 April 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
