Affordable and excellent resort. Friendly and lovely staffs. The location is perfect as it just near to the Chenang beach. Please book early, especially during public holiday as it always fully booked. Many restaurants nearby.

If you are thinking of staying at this hotel forget it. It was disgusting, the staff who were supposed to be cleaning the rooms just layed in the corridors on their phones and smoking all day! There is no security in any of the rooms and had to take my valuables everywhere with me. The standard of cleaning was non-existent. All the time you had to request the beds to changed and new towels. THIS HOTEL SHOULD NOT BE VISITED BY WESTERN PEOPLE!! A disgrace to Malaysia!

Nice and comfortable room. Stayed at Seaview room which was so beautiful to enjoy both day and night. Get out from the room and just run to the beach! Breakfast was delicious with various type of food offered. For Muslim girls, the clothes iron provided at each level of the hotel. Tourist attractions at cenang area are all reachable within walking distances.

Excellent hotel with friendly and accommodating staff, clean rooms and a perfect location by the beach! Many restaurants and a convenient shop right next door. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Langkawi.

Today was our last day in Melati Tanjong and I totally regret booking with this awful place. Room was on 4th floor but there was no elevator nor anyone would help carrying luggages or stroller. - Bedsheets were smelly and full of sand - No water was in pipes so we couldn't take bass or use toilet! - Room service was weak and they normally forgot to bring water bottles - Privacy and security level was so awfully low that almost anyone could step in through balcony - Towels were too old and were already tearing apart - I don't know how they wash towels when they don't have water! - First thing was that air conditioning was faulty so they changed our room but the other one started working after 5 minutes and wasn't cool even when it shows 16° centigrade it wasn't even 25° Try to find somewhere else as there are so many places to stay around this busy beach.…

For the price we paid there are many other hotels that can offer better facilities and amenities. Room run down in the sense that it smelled old and musky, beds are ready to be disposed, doors full of mold and walls dusty like anything. Poor maintenance.

Melati Tanjung, my home away from home for 3 days 2 nights. Located in Cenang, Melati Tanjung is a good budget hotel if you want to be right on the beach and also in the middle of all actions like water sports, beach activities, great restaurants, bars and shops. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Although the decor is pretty basic and dated, the room is clean and the bathroom is spacious. I have a couple of chairs outside so I can sit out on the balcony reading the story book that I have been postponing to read, while enjoying the sight and sound of the beach and sea. However, I am a bit unfortunate to be disturbed by the noise made by a group of young male guests who love to listen to loud music. They shout and laugh loudly too, forcing other guests who read at the balcony like me to move inside. Please respect other guests too, anak-anak muda. Not the hotel’s fault, obviously, more to the lack of manners and consideration of the young boys. Overall, it’s a good budget hotel.…

Good for single friends not for families they need to make things better. Hope they make prices lower! After all the view and site from the beach makes it good choice. Also close to street and restaurants that gives you too many options about food and shopping.
