I booked the hotel rooms (twin rooms) 9 months in advance only to be told on arrival they did have sufficient rooms and two members of the party would have to share a king size bed. I subsequently complained and in no certain terms I was told it’s just tough. There was no apology or customer goodwill gesture. The overall standard of the room’s are very poor, they do not represent the pictures shown on the hotel website, very tired, cramped and do represent 4 star quality. I won’t be booking this hotel again!,

.Stay away from this disgusting overpriced dieases wridden den of filth. Liked · Nothing, rude staff, disgusting room with dirty walls pillows and a complete lack of hygiene. At 8.30 pm I was informed I would have to wait until a room was ready and it would be a least a 30-minute wait minimum for the room to be cleaned.. seriously who in the hotel game doesn't know when their rooms will be ready for an 8.30 pm arrival. Hotel photos are a complete misrepresentation - refer to mine for the real state of the room. The room smelt of mould, found human fingernails on the floor, mouldy, rotten woodwork, grubby hand prints on the wall, mould in the bathroom, the smallest room with no space for your bag. Completely overpriced. A putrid stream with animal faeces / the smell of raw sewerage flows into the water out front with any rainfall. Seriously... STAY AWAY and save your money. By far the worst room in all of Europe ( yes that is a big call) Disliked · Guantanamo bay but smaller & noisier!! Don’t do it.. go next door, go anywhere but do-not waste your money here.. JUST DON’T. Worst hotel in Majorca award, in fact the whole island chain. Value for money = poor Staff Friendliness = poor Facilities = poor Cleanliness = disgusting Photo’s to actual = false The photos make it look nice but its just not. You will need good earplugs!!!! The noise coming thru the above floorboards gets you intimate with your neighbours movements from walking to toilet use. The hall floor boards, the lift, even the stair case is noisey. Thankfully most of this internal noise is drowned out by the road traffic noise. The rooms are clearly what Guantánamo Bay was modelled on, tiny & with sleep deprivation in mind. The rooms are shabby in need of repair, paint, tidy. It’s time for a face lift or a demolition. The front staff member didn't want to be there & made it really clear she was doing me a favour checking me in. It was 8:30 in the evening & she still required half an hour to check if the room was clean & ready. This being after waiting for the booking.com booking that apparently hadn't come through to the hotel. Rather odd as I had an email copy of the booking delivered earlier. It more like a run down backpackers with a nice entry. Seriously just don't do it

Well….this was seriously not ok. Obviously pictures never tells the truth but the ”superior doubleroom” was a hobit room, and the reception said there were no bigger. You couldn’t even have one suitcase open on the floor, nevermind 2… Poorly cleaned, staff not really ”there”, very few even said hello. I also emailed about this same day as check in, still no reply…. And also price is subject to demand but this was a robbery for what you get and i will for sure claim some money back, if they answer that is. Yeah, great view from the balcony but that was it. Certainly feels like Be Live are waiting to renovate and try and charge as much as possible before that. An absolute rip off, stay away.

the only nice thing about the hotel was the view. The room was old the pool was often dirty the customer service was often useless and inconclusive. above all they made me pay for the change of room as I requested a double bed and they did not tell me that the booked room only had two single beds. So after five days they gave me a room with a double bed but they made me pay the difference.

Staying here on holiday whilst some things are hit and miss must give a big shout out to Elena and Juan who’s attention to detail and going the extra mile has made our dinner experience really enjoyable. Having visited the premises before there is evidence of lack of trained staff but they do try their best. The facilities are brilliant and with some ares needing some TLC it could be an excellent venue

The Hotel is really nice and layed back a little dated in places but fine. The one thing that sets it apart from others is the staff from front of house to the maids servicing the rooms and everyone in between without exception they were all very helpful and lovely people. Hotel is in a good area on a dead end street so quiet when needed and front straight on to the beach. If we stayed again which we intend to we would probably pay the extra for a sea view room but ours was fine. Thank You to you all.

I believe in being even handed when writing a review so I will start with what's good about this Hotel. The position from the back is beautiful over looking the sea with a nice pool and plenty of sunbeds. Reception and the downstairs seating areas were clean and stylish and the choice at breakfast was good, one of the Omelets chefs being particularly friendly, unlike the waiting staff who couldn't wait to clear away the plates without a smile or Hola. So that's the 4 star bit. HOWEVER There were problems from the moment we walked in. It is advertised that there is a lift, well that's true but not to the 4th floor where our room was so we had to carry our heavy suitcases up the stairs. Our room was very small for a 4 star hotel, with no drawers for clothes, or at least if you put your clothes in the space below the wardrobe you had to find somewhere else to put your cases which would make the space round the bed almost impossible to walk around. The finish in the room was poor. clearly they had removed something from the wall and not finished the job and there was also a lose floor board in the room which moved whenever you stepped on it. The standard of cleaning was poor as stains that were on the bathroom door when we arrived were still there on the day we left. Whilst the room had some of the bells and whistles of soft drinks in a fridge, bathrobes, shampoos etc it was style over substance, Do Not pay the extra for the balcony if you dont have a sea view room. We have always found that even without a sea view room you are looking out over a garden area or reasonable view. We looked out onto the corrugated roofs cluttered with junk of other buildings and a dirty walkway. Whilst you would expect in the daytime cleaning trolleys to be in the corridors while housekeeping made up the rooms, On this forgotten 4th floor the trolley was left on the corridor outside our rooms which was unsightly and cluttered. But the worst part was the advertising on Tui website gave inaccurate pictures of the rooms and it wasn't clear about the evening meal eating arrangements. We had to go next door the the Marievent Hotel. Perhaps a clue might have been that amongst the 100 or so tables there were rarely more than 8 tables occupied We booked evening meal because there weren't a lot of decent restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The food was poor, but the ultimate error was the labelling of the food. Each dish had the allergens on the label, While 2 different dishes appeared identical, they were labelled as different. My husband checked that the dish he was choosing was correctly labelled and was reassured it was. Having tasted the dish he rechecked and was told both dishes were the same and neither was labelled correctly. As I have allergies this horrified me because i always look carefully at the allergens and ask if I'm unsure and we decided if we couldn't trust the kitchen staff to put the right label on it was dangerous for us to eat in that restaurant. So, how did the Hotel respond. When we complained about the lift the receptionist said she could move us to an identical room on the lower floor which would still have the same view. We are not disabled but both have bad backs but had been up since 3.00am and the room would not be available until later in the day and we had already got up with our luggage, unpacked some, so decided there was no advantage. We talked to reception and told them we wanted to cancel our evening meal option because we didn't feel confident that it was safe to eat there. Promised contact by the management was not received and when we spoke to reception the following evening we were told it was my responsibility to tell them if i had allergies. No offer of a refund on half board or even an apology was offered. They did however offer compensation in the shape of having a Bali bed by the pool with Cava and fruit. As I am 66, not prone to snuggling up with my husband in public spaces, and not a sun worshipper this in no way addressed the fact that we had paid for half board but now had to pay to eat out as well. All we were requesting was a refund on half board and an admission of error in the restaurant. If you are with Tui you will get no support from them as they didn't respond. Tui offered us £100 holiday voucher off our next holiday but we turned this down as we will never travel with Tui again because of the poor support, no tui representative available to talk to and they gave us and false advertising. Fortunately Majorca is beautiful and we enjoyed out experience of the island but the whole holiday was marred by the underlying stress of the poor quality.

We loved staying at the La Cala. Boutique hotel. The setting is beautiful, on a very ideal beach. Yet close to Palma’s downtown. The staff were great, breakfasts delicious, the room had a great balcony and everything we needed. I would stay there again!!

It is located at Cala Major, which is just 10 mins drive or 20 mins bus to the City centre. We booked a ocean view room and enjoyed staying there. All staff member were nice and warm. It was my first time to leave a review. I guessed it is always good to boost them up.
