Booked this hotel on the way south in Thailand. Pulled in the parking lot, no bell boys and once we got to the front desk a sign said no bell boys. I’m 65 and recovering from a recent four level cervical fusion and they put in the third and then said the elevators were not operating so they changed us to the first floor. The entire lobby was very dark, I thought I was in Herman Munsters house, the decor is extremely gaudy, reminds me of something I’ve seen in old Indian (dot) movies. The bathroom is fairly nice although the toilet seat is completely broken. I was frustrated so I decided to take a bath, just one problem , they put in a new tub but gave you no tub stopper, took :15 for someone to find one. The AC in the room does not work, I’m from southern U.S., cannot sleep in the heat and it’s going to be hot tonight. The ceiling fan above my head has a nice wobble to it like it may crash down at any moment. There is a small outer room that we were told to close off in an effort to cool our room🤔. There is some work going on at the top of one of the huge buildings, I can see this place must have been grand in its day although lack of proper management is apparent the moment you arrive. The pool is huge and does look nice but I do not plan to stay long enough to check it out. This is a two star hotel on its best day, if the AC worked I would not mind the $40.00 price but sadly it does not. We booked for two nights prior to arriving so I’ll check out after one night and eat the second. Very disappointed in Agoda for deceiving us and others about this place and others. It’s laughable they list this place 4 stars😂. I’ll have a sleepless night because of the heat and move on, do not use Agoda, they lie! If you are only interested in price and not quality or service then stay at the Ayodhaya Palace hotel. Forgot to mention the sign on the lobby front desk that said “no food in the rooms” wtf is that about? This place is in dire need of a manager and my prediction is the entire hotel will one day soon be blighted.

The worst experience in Thailand. Especially because of rude, not friendly, and not helpful staff. When we arrived in the room it appears that there were no towels at all. The man said that he will bring them, but he disappeared and did not return. We called 2 times to reception. Towels did not arrive, and at the second time the person told us that it is not possible to find towels now and they will give them to us in the morning. It took me 15 minutes to come to reception by myself because the hotel was very large, and the way was too complicated. I spend half an hour at reception asking the towels, advising them to look in another rooms. Finally, they brought 2 towels for 2 persons and said in a very rude manner that they do not provide small towels for hands. In addition, hotel is very old, in some places wrecked, elevators do not work, some places no electricity in corridors. Breakfast was too primitive. The only advantage of this hotel is its former beautiful architecture. So I advise to come to this place for excursion and not to live there.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. DO NOT BOOK YOUR STAY IN THIS HOTEL. We booked Ayodhaya Palace Beach Resort for my family for a two-week vacation from 20th of January to 1st of Febryary and unfortunately upon arriving at the hotel, we were met with a completely different reality than what was advertised on booking sites In the pictures provided in many booking websites they showcase a beautiful and well-maintained pool area, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel for my family vacation. However, upon arrival at the hotel, we were shocked to find that the pool area was actually partly a construction site. We were also shocked to find blood stains on the floor in our room and in the halways of the hotel. This was not only disgusting but also raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene of the hotel. In addition to this, one of our room’s toilet was not flushing, in the other room the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking, there was actual water dripping from the ceiling. Furthermore, we were disturbed by our neighbors who informed us that their sheets were not changed after the previous guest. This is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of hygiene standards. And to top it off, we were given a room on the 3rd floor but the elevator was out of order. This made it extremely inconvenient for us to move around with our luggage and small kids. Furthermore, the gym and wellness area were not up to standard. It was dusty and did not seem sanitary. Our family was not comfortable using these facilities. In addition to this, the staff in the reception don’t speak any English (except the management team) and communicated with the guests through google translate. The most concerning issue was the presence of water damage in our rooms. Not only was it an eyesore, but it also caused a strong odor of mold in the air. This greatly affected one of our children who suffers from asthma. It was very disappointing and concerning to see such unsanitary conditions in a hotel that I had trusted to provide a comfortable and safe stay for my children. We ended leaving after 2 days. We made a complain to the hotel on the same day we arrived and we were told that we will be refunded as soon as the hotel we’ll receive a confirmation from booking.com. Booking.com tried to contact the hotel multiple times but the staff refused to communicate. When we spoke to the ”supervisor” the son of the managers (I guess) called Alex he was very disrespectful and laughed at my mother who was struggling with her english. Even the police was called in while we were trying to get a hold on to the managers who where refusing to talk with us. We ended up leaving without our money and are currently waiting for booking.com to deal with this.

Hey, I see so many bad posts on here. They’re unfair. Myself, I could not believe the beautiful place I stayed in for only $70 Canadian dollars/night. It was the best all around hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was beautiful and huge… Like really huge. The pool, the staff, the buffet, everyone in my family was all smiles all the time. Nearby Night Market close by, was icing on the cake. Huge win staying here. I highly recommend it.

You are greeted when you arrive by a huge spider on the steps up to reception and this about sums it all up! Filth and blood everywhere So run down but was clearly a smashing place in its hay day All the furniture broke in the room We checked out immediately Lifts are broken and I think there were approximately 6 people around the pool It’s a ghost town in the middle of fields and I’m sorry but I’m not taking my chances .. didn’t feel safe and the blood on the stairs is probably people falling over at night in badly lit deserted hallways. The area is quiet not a lot around Good luck with your stay

Horrible place. Almost derelict. No one at desk after dark. No bellboy or lifts. No refunds and they take your money upfront. Poor run down property which could do with a total refurbishment. not habitable and certainly not any more than a 1star hotel. POOR POOR DISAPPOINTING STAY - WOULD NOT RECOOMEND

AVOID THIS PLACE The photos on various websites are very very very old photos from when the place was something. Now the property is in a state of dilapidation and hasn't been maintained for years. IF YOU WANT CHEAP ACCOMMODATION, STAY IN A HOSTEL WHICH WILL BE CLEANER. POOR POOR POOR customer service as no one can communicate The property is in dire need of total re-furbishment and new management. If you have booked this property - CANCEL your booking now even if you make a small loss. You will 100% (10000%) thank me for it. CHECK OUT YOUR ROOMS BEFORE PAYING FOR THEM. THEY TAKE CASH UPFRONT FOR THE WHOLE BOOKING BEFORE GIVING YOU THE KEYS.

The hotel is pure filth, dirty and smells of mould. Black mould on the tables where the breakfast buffet is laid out on. Mould on ceilings. There are stains on the bed sheets. The water looks so dirty and round the edges of the pool look slimey. The whole floors need a good clean outside. The whole hotel looks abandoned. WiFi is very poor. Lifts out of service and toilets in the lobby out of service. Doesn’t feel very welcoming. We check in and left almost straight away. Real shame as this hotel would be something very special. Read the reviews on other websites throughly.

It was terrible. There is no bell boy and the lift does not work, the WiFi does not work either. We stayed at the fifth floor and had to carry our luggage (over 4 bags) to our room. Moreover, there are termites in the room and this has been an issue amongst other guests that stayed within the hotel, our bed broke in the middle of the night and there was no one that could assist us until the next afternoon. The staff is rude. Please I would advise everyone to invest in another hotel as this is terrible. PS IT IS NOT NEAR THE ENTRANCE OF THE BEACH You have to walk to the other side in order to get in via stairs
